He was very active in 4-H growing up, showing pigs, cattle, and sheep; this experience, and Lonney's experience of raising pigs most of his life (at the peak of his production he had over 100 sows), led them to start the venture of raising show pigs. We started with 6 gilts and had 32 pigs on our first sale. During the first few sales, Kirk was still showing pigs. Our philosophy was, and continues
to be, to sell the best and let our customers win for us. Over the last 18 years, we have had success in multiple states at the county fair and state fair level. We generally breed 15-20 sows/gilts per season. We currently have Crossbreds and Berkshires.
