Carney's Bee Glade

Carney's Bee Glade It all started with a love for nature and my lip balm addiction...

Carney's Bee Glade began as just a little seed of an idea for a future hobby.

Our intention in the beginning was to learn a new skill, support and nurture the environment, and produce some fine honeybee products. What we didn't realize in the beginning was just how absolutely incredible bees are and how they would fulfill and enrich our lives and souls! Our bee glade is located in the serene woods of our 9 acre hobby farm where it's surrounded by beautiful filtered sunlight

, gentle breezes, and crisp forest air. The bees work together with the sunshine and rain to provide us with a plentiful flourishing vegetable garden, wonderful apple trees, black raspberry and blackberry bushes throughout the property, and an intriguing array of wildflowers surrounding us! We are careful to leave our bees with the honey and honeycomb that they need to sustain a strong and healthy hive, only taking what is considered excess for our products. Our first product here at Carney's Bee Glade is our Peppermint Eucalyptus Lip Balm, which was made in the beginning only to support our very own lip balm addiction! After perfecting our recipe over hours and hours of trial and error, we now have a product that we can be proud of and share with the world. Stay tuned as we grow our business together with our bees! Come along with us on this amazing journey and see what nature can share with us as we support it and care for it in return!

Tonight I harvested honey from my friend Allison’s hives. Only one of hers had an excess of summer honey to take. This will be a really special small batch harvest! She’s such a wonderful steward to this incredible certified wildlife habitat! She’s definitely giving this land the best care! I’m so grateful to have this amazing partnership and to be able to come here to care for these bees. Today’s inspection went really well and the bees are gearing up for the fall nectar flow…starting soon! Watch for the goldenrod to bloom!

Raise your hand if you think I’m way behind in harvesting honey and if you’re getting desperate for a jar of Carney’s Bee Glade honey?

Check out our first harvest from the Carney’s Bee Glade garden! Clearly, our zucchini and yellow squash are loving the no-till, completely 100% chemical-free method of gardening I’m using over here! The only thing I add to the soil while planting my veggies is several years-aged horse manure. These delicious veggies taste like nothing I’ve ever purchased in a grocery store—clean and fresh! Ready to share the bounty with my friends at work! I hope everyone loves zucchini and yellow squash. We’ll probably devour the cukes before they make it out the door—they are so damn good. ✨🌱✨
Proof that a garden can thrive with low maintenance and no chems. 🐛 The only pest management I use is that I plant enough to share with the bugs. 😜 You win some, you lose some. This season…winning some!!! Thank you, God!!!
