We are putting special emphasis on beans this week.

Why?

Becuase picking green and yellow beans in the field this time of year is special!

We typically have had the first frost by now, which would finish off the beans. But the frost is late this year and we are enjoying every moment we have left with them!

Pick up your beans at the markets on Saturday. Here is where you can find us:

Your perfect fall Saturday is waiting!

Grab the kids and come out to the farm! Get a little lost in our corn maze. There’s a scavenger hunt hidden inside, so everyone’s got a job. ($4/person)

Then walk out to the field and pick your own pumpkin. Tall and skinny? Short and chunky? Your call. Take your time. The photos are half the fun. 🎃

Before you go:
🌸 Head out to the U-pick flower field and fill a jar with your own bouquet ($10/jar). Stop by the farm store first and we’ll get you started.
🐐 The animal barn and playground are free. Feed cups are in the store.
🗳️ Go see the straw bale art and cast your free vote in the Strawtastic Showdown.
🥕 Stock up at the Farm Store: fresh veggies, eggs, honey, maple syrup, fresh-baked goods, local meats, and more.

Here’s how we’d fill it:

🧡 The “I need dinner tonight” bag: Butternut for soup, Acorn for butter and brown sugar, Delicata so you can skip the peeling.

🧡 The “let’s try something new” bag: Mashed Potato squash (yes, it’s a real swap for potatoes), Buttercup, and a Goldilocks that’s just right for two.

🧡 The “I want it to look cute on the table” bag: Sweet Dumpling, Pie Pumpkin, and a few Goldilocks. Stuff them, roast them, serve them.

This is our greenhouse lettuce, planted and growing while the weather cools down outside.

Our greenhouses keep running through the colder months, so you can keep eating fresh, local greens when the fields go quiet.
