The Visser family currently farms over 300 acres of land to grow everything from radishes and carrots to sweet corn and potatoes. Each year we grow a large variety of produce and sell at 7 area farmers markets as well as our newly opened Country Market. We offer deliveries to restaurants and also provide CSA memberships with pick up locations at all of our markets and our farm.

🍓We have a limited amount of strawberries available at our Country Market for $7/quart. First come, first serve.

🍓We need the rain that is in the forecast. We are planning to open U-Pick next week, but as always, stay tuned here for updates.

🍓The Country Market is open weekdays 8am - 6pm and we’ll have additional berries at some point tomorrow (Friday) as well.

Last year we launched an educational partnership with to offer in-depth opportunities for youngsters. Our long term goal is to expand these options each year and to be a resource for horticultural education in our county.
We still have space for your Little Veggie Farmer to join us this summer! To learn more or sign up, visit critterbarn.org/education.

Additionally, we want our Country Market to offer more than just a quick & convenient shopping experience. Our desire is to foster connection within families. When you bring your youngster to our farm market, you’ll have the opportunity to set aside your busy pace for a moment & make shopping for your food an enriching time of learning and connection. Make a core memory.
Our table is set up & waiting for you. Completely free, it only costs a little bit of your time.

We are beginning to harvest beautiful lettuce varieties from the field again! Along with crunchy radishes, tasty green onions, green shallot, kale, spinach, and much more, this is what we’ve waited all winter for.
We are finding joy in the midst of our daily workload in the early morning sunrises, being followed by Mr. Toby the farm cat everywhere, greeting familiar faces at markets, & watching our fields come to life with vegetables after lying dormant and quiet all winter. Thank you, Lord for 4 seasons!

🍩It’s this Friday! All our donuts are just $1 for the entire day at the Country Market! Come enjoy them with us!

🌼 Our greenhouse flower and plant inventory is getting down there. Don’t wait any longer to come and select your hanging basket, pots or patio tomatoes. We would love to wrap up plant sales soon to focus on food production in the fields.

It's finally JUNE! You know what that means?! STRAWBERRY SEASON is SO CLOSE we can almost taste it!

🍓Small quantities of strawberries are beginning to trickle into our Country Market this week, right from the patch. This weather is so lovely and we are seeing a nice, steady ripening, but not huge amounts yet. I know it's hard to wait, but we will get there very soon!
🍓Stay tuned for U-Pick Strawberry information. It will be coming later this week!
🐴We'll also be sharing when you can enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides with Mr. Paul!
🍨Make sure you plan enough time in your visit for some refreshing hand dipped Country Dairy ice cream or a yummy homemade strawberry donut by our sister, Laura.

Sometimes going to Saturday market after a very full work week can feel really demanding. But so often, we are met with your smiling faces, your gratitude, your precious children, or your own stories of trials and triumphs that we can’t help but remember that we are not alone and we have so much to be grateful for. We get to do what we love, we have amazing food & friends, and we have each other.

We have delicious asparagus & a nice variety of our greenhouse tomatoes at the corner of Fulton & Fuller today. Be sure to check out the kale we harvested yesterday too!

🍅ROCKFORD FARMERS MARKET: 8am - 1pm
We still have a nice variety of potatoes from storage, and we are getting some lovely green onions, red green onions, and green shallot. Rockford allows your 4-legged pals too!

🍅WAUKAZOO MARKET: 8am - 2pm
Have you seen the flower bouquets we have here? 🤩. We have nice rhubarb, spinach & leek too! This market is a fantastic little option on your way to the lakeshore.

There’s been so much work done in the fields this week! We welcomed back many summer employees and they got to work planting, pounding tomato stakes, weeding, rolling up the last of the frost cloths, and getting the fields shipshape.
The potatoes are filling in nicely, the sweet corn is gaining some height, the radishes are getting to size, and the wheat crop is looking lovely swaying in the breeze.
This was a very cool spring. So there’s a delay in some items compared to the last few years, but that’s Michigan weather for ya and overall, we are pleased with where things are at. We’d like a rain shower soon.

🍓It took a long while, but we found a red berry! There are SO many green berries and this year’s patch is lush & plentiful. We’re so grateful we’ve made it this far and we anticipate a beautiful crop for you to pick this year.

🍓We’ll probably have an announcement about U-Pick in a week to 10 days. Make sure you are following our page or subscribe to our text program to receive notice and information.

🇺🇸Some Gave All🇺🇸
From our family to yours, we wish you all a blessed Memorial Day weekend.

We are closed today but we are working on some farm jobs, yard work, opening Grandma & Grandpa’s pool, and taking time to enjoy being with loved ones.

Strawberries are developing nicely! Still no opening dates, but I think you could circle the second week of June as a good time to be real close. Could be a little earlier/later…just depends on the weather. This warm up will do good things!

Some of these pictures are from a Farm Bureau trip to Washington DC in 2024, in which Case & Megan went to meet with legislators to advocate for agriculture and this trip to Arlington Cemetery was humbling & beautiful. The vast number of graves provides a sobering reality that our freedom is NOT free. Please hug your loved ones & pray for our nation, lawmakers & our troops. We love our dear USA! 🇺🇸

It’s a bit more chilly and rainy than we prefer for a market day, but our fields needed the moisture so badly! We’re so grateful! We have onions, sweet corn, broccoli, strawberries and many other items planted that will benefit greatly. 💦

We have a nice variety of produce & plants wherever you find us. We are at the end of our carrot supply from the fall so whatever we have available today is it and we will have a little gap till the spring ones are ready.

🇺🇸Please take note the Country Market will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Then we open Tuesday with the main season’s hours and some sweet surprises!

We are beginning to get some really nice amounts of green onions & spinach from the fields and tomatoes from the greenhouse! They are the perfect addition to your Memorial Day weekend plans. 🤤
