To our very dear farm guests,

My beloved mother and business partner for forty-one years, Susan Hurd Machamer, died this past Wednesday October 7th, 2026. She was poised, interested and insightful to the end.

Our farm and our market were cherished places for my mother. They were an expression of deep meaning, reflecting her love of creating beauty through the means of new plantings, visionary programs, recipes and collections. Equally, our business has drawn continued strength from her constancy and bright smile.

The friendships that my mother had with our guests were far-ranging and interesting, and she enjoyed, and took sustenance from, each and every one.

Thank you, one and all, for being a vibrant part of her life.

In Sue’s radiant spirit we carry on - each sapling, each apple, each pie and each warm smile a testament to her appreciation of – and love for - this beautiful world that
we share together.

Our Thanksgiving Tastings!

Our expression of our deep appreciation for the abundance that this gentle land provides. A celebration through flavor, gathering and presentation of the inspiration that fills our days as fruit growers, and our thought to weave our heritage into our future.

Our delightful menu of many recipes is shaped by our harvest, and given life with the springboard of our creativity. Served from serving tables in our candlelit barn and beside our woodstove in the coziness of our market. A recipe booklet is provided.

A Festival of Fall Flowers, The Flower Cart Luncheon

A luncheon of exploration in the fabulous colors, hues and flavors of Early October.

Dahlias, Zinnias, the first Autumn Leaves set the tone - Apples, new and heirloom, a fresh Preserve from the kettle, and a lovely slice of our classic Autumn dessert match in festive spirit, all that October is.
