Do Not Panic, yes there are more cases of NWS being found. But instead of spreading the hysteria let’s be part of the solution!
✅ Know what you are looking for and be on the lookout! Especially if you have cows still calving
✅ Have a relationship with your local large animal veterinarian. They want to eradicate this as much as we do as producers. So if you think you see something ask them to come look
✅ If you think you have one report it! The fastest way to contain it is to know where it is spreading to
✅ We CAN still conduct business as usual as a livestock market there may just be a little more work involved keeping up with the origins of cattle…But we are happy to do it to keep this market rolling for our customers

There are things that could have been done before we got to this point, but Texas got rid of it once we can do it again. Let’s be vigilant and get after it so it’s sooner rather than later!

A memory from 11yrs ago today, Susan had some ranch haters praying with us for water-hahaha!!

We lost our ranch well and are trying to drill a new one today. This well pumps water to 40 square miles of native pasture land. As I watch and pray they find water, it makes me think of all the wildlife activists who fight to get cattle removed from grazing on native pasture because they take grass from the wildlife. Do these folks realize that areas like NM there is NO WATER without a well. If ranchers didn't drill wells and run and maintain waterlines and drinkers there wouldn't be water here for wildlife....I think these activists should pray with us today so we can provide water for the deer and the bunnies.
