The last of the sap/syrup is starting to cool and the last bit of wood has been loaded into the fire. Once everything cools we will pull it off the evaporator and finish it over propane. Now the clean up begins!!

Back at it now we got the sap to thaw! While we were waiting we headed over to Woodville Maples open house to catch up the crew over there. If you need honey or syrup this year give them a shout.

Low temps overnight caused the sap to freeze in the tanks! Put them in the sun to help thaw out so we can boil again later. You can't fight Mother Nature only work with her......!!

2019 Season - We have a reduced operation this year so will have no open houses or syrup for sale.

First boil of the season today. A much reduced operation this year but still hope to make a little syrup!

A little later than planned but we are off to the races....trees are tapped, we should have a good week this week and plan to be boiling by the weekend.

Will and I got out on this beautiful day to have a quick check on the bees that made it through the winter. I'm sure all the girls are going to appreciate the warm weather next week!
