Our first flush is here! 🍄

This fall we tried something new at Miles Creek Farm: oyster mushrooms. After weeks of waiting, watching, and a little bit of worrying, we are thrilled to share our very first harvest.

There is something special about seeing those clusters fan out for the first time. Proof that the farm always has more to teach us.

Thank you for following along and supporting our small farm here in Holliston. đź’›

We’re so proud to be featured in Sparhawk’s Minutemen Mail newsletter!

This year, Sparhawk’s sophomore entrepreneurship class has been visiting our farm stand lto see what running a small farm business really looks like. We’ve loved walking the students through the day to day: how we grow and sell, how the self-serve stand works, and the lessons we’ve learned along the way.

It’s been a joy watching these young entrepreneurs ask sharp questions and connect classroom ideas to real life. Big thanks to the Sparhawk Academy’s faculty for building such a hands-on program, and to the students for their curiosity and enthusiasm. The future of small business is in good hands! 👏

This year’s tomato harvest got the full treatment: sliced, salted, and left out in the Holliston sun until they turned into little pockets of concentrated summer. Then into jars with good olive oil, and now they’re sitting on the shelf looking very pleased with themselves.

These aren’t for sale, just a small batch we made for our own kitchen and a handful of neighbors and friends who will get one when they stop by. Sun drying takes patience and about ten pounds of tomatoes to make one sad little jar, so we understand now why nonnas guard these things.

If you have a family method for putting up tomatoes, tell us. We are taking notes for next year.

🍅 Eggs, raw honey and tomatoes are still at the farm stand.

Picked fresh right here at Miles Creek Farm. 10 oz bags, $5 each. Sweet, sun ripened, and honestly they never last long, so grab yours before they’re gone.

Raw honey and farm fresh eggs are out there too. 🍯🥚

Stop by while the pickings are good.
