Good morning! Chicken peeps!
Our “Mommas” turned 1 today!! It’s our first 8 hens birthday - Patty LeeBelle, Aretha Franklin, Dixie Chick, Sweetie, Honey, Shelby, and Henrietta. Only 1, Gladys Knight, did not make it to this first birthday.
They had a nice birthday party and even the cat came!

Since Dixie decided she was too busy to be a momma to Garnet, I may or may not have driven to Starkville yesterday to pick up Garnet’s new friend.

Henrietta is the best momma. She’s just a natural. Here she’s taking care of Winter, Sapphire, Cupid, and Topaz.

Update: thank you for the prayers. I received a message from the lady that bought the 3 chicks. She came clean that the bird did NOT have Marek’s Disease. 🙏🏻

Well, I am relieved that my birds are not sick.
I am sad, though, that people can be so mean. The lady I sold my 3 birds to has confirmed my suspicions. I asked her for the vets name 3 different times. She never would give it to me. Today, I simply asked was there ever a vet’s diagnosis (which she had already told me there was).
She has not responded at all today.
This was all over $15. 😔
Pray for this lady please.
