I guess the Florida heat had me thinking about the savanna today, because somehow I ended up making this spelt sourdough with a zebra-style crust.
Now I kind of want to try every pattern.
What should I do next?

My kid really decided to challenge me with this octopus cake 😅
definitely one of the more ambitious birthday requests i’ve gotten, but honestly i’m so happy with how it turned out.
inside is a rich chocolate cake with a layer of homemade mulberry jam from the tree in our backyard. fully vegan, messy in the best way, and very much made with love 🐙🎂

my daughter and i were reading a book about potions and herbal medicine, and it somehow led us to making these cute chamomile muffins.
as soon as they came out of the oven, with that smell in the kitchen, i already felt calmer 🌼🧁

The past year I have been making sourdough every week, sometimes twice a week.

Sourdough has even taken over my cookies, my brownies. My buns, pizza dough...

Trying a trend I saw of making my sourdough fly 🦋
