The Frazier Farms We specialize in ethically raising Chickens on high quality pasture without hormones or antibiotics Thank you for supporting The Frazier Farms.

At The Frazier Farms, we are dedicated to producing the highest quality pasture-raised chicken and eggs, using sustainable and regenerative farming practices. Our commitment to excellence and integrity in farming is reflected in every aspect of our operation. Founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdowns, The Frazier Farms began as a small venture to generate additional income. What started as a humble endeavor quickly grew, and we expanded our offerings to include a variety of farm-fresh products at local farmers' markets. However, our passion for pastured poultry has always remained at the core of our business. Today, we have refined our focus and now specialize solely in raising the finest pasture-raised chicken and eggs available. We take great care in ensuring that all of our animals are raised without the use of hormones or antibiotics. Their diet is supplemented exclusively with non-GMO grains, and we utilize regenerative farming methods that prioritize the health of the land, animals, and the environment. As a family-operated farm, each member plays a vital role in our daily operations, ensuring that we uphold the values of hard work, quality, and sustainability. At The Frazier Farms, we are not just committed to the food we produce, but also to the communities we serve. We are proud to provide you with ethically raised, healthy, and delicious products that you can trust.

THROWBACK THURSDAY! Who remembers these days?

Before we focused exclusively on pasture-raised poultry and farm-fresh eggs, you could find The Frazier Farms at the Liberty Farmers Market with a booth full of homegrown produce!

A lot has changed over the years, but our commitment to providing locally raised food to Kansas City families hasn’t!

We’re curious… how many of you remember our farmers market days?

🥕 Are you an OG customer who used to visit our booth, or did you discover us after we made the switch to poultry?

🐔 And here’s the BIG question: Should we make a comeback to farmers markets?

Tell us in the comments! If you’d like to see us return, which farmers market would you like us to attend?

🐔 Happy hens start with good nutrition!

Special delivery at The Frazier Farms! Our feed supplier stopped by to fill one of our bins with fresh feed for our egg-laying girls!

We believe what goes into our chickens matters just as much as how they’re raised. That’s why we feed our hens locally sourced feed to complement the bugs and fresh greens they forage for out on pasture.

Good nutrition, fresh pasture, and plenty of room to roam. It’s all part of raising healthy, happy hens that produce delicious farm-fresh eggs!

🥚 Did you know what chickens eat can influence the eggs they produce?

🐔 The days are getting shorter, but our chickens still need time to eat!

As we move into fall, shorter daylight hours mean our pasture-raised chickens have less time each day to consume the feed they need to grow.

So we decided to shed a little light on the situation!

We’ve installed a new solar-powered, 12-volt lighting system in our chicken tractors. Each tractor has a single lightbulb controlled by a timer, giving our birds just a few extra hours of light each day.

It’s a simple, energy-efficient solution that helps our chickens maintain their feed intake as daylight hours decrease.

Just another example of how we adapt our farming practices with the changing seasons!

💡 Did you know shorter days can affect how much chickens eat?

Did you know baby chicks are shipped through the mail?

Believe it or not, farms all across the country receive live chicks through the USPS, and it’s been happening for over 100 years!

But how does it work?

Newly hatched chicks absorb the remaining yolk before hatching, providing enough nutrients to sustain them for approximately 72 hours. This allows hatcheries to ship day-old chicks in specially designed, ventilated boxes.

Once they arrive at our local post office, we pick them up and bring them home to warm brooders with fresh feed and water.

That’s Farmer Owen helping bring another shipment home to The Frazier Farms!

🐥 Now we’re curious… Did you already know chickens could come through the mail, or is this news to you?

What size turkey should you order? 🦃

A good rule of thumb is 1–1½ pounds of whole turkey per person. Want leftovers? Plan closer to 1½ pounds each!

Our quick guide is in the graphic. Our pasture-raised turkeys are fed non-GMO feed, and reservations are filling up. Smaller and medium-sized birds are especially limited.

Thanksgiving will be here before we know it—and you can reserve ahead for Christmas or New Year, too!
