One of my favorite things about the annual Specialty Coffee Expo is to see friends I haven’t seen for a year. 💞☕️ Loved to reminisce today with Jan Weigel from Fresh Cup magazine...like when she, Bob, Arianna and I rode in a float together at the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival parade...time flies!

🌴Picking the solid, red cherry 🍒 ... it is an anxious balancing act😬. There is so much push to pick it when it’s tinged reddish like this photo (and even yellow!) so that it does not become overripe (and a total loss) by the time someone is back again at the tree to pick it when it turns red. We have cupped it ourselves and professionally and the red cherry just is it❤️... so erring on the side of some coffee lost to not getting picked soon enough, instead of picking underdeveloped beans that sour the cup. Wish us luck❣️ 😬😍🍒🍒🍒☕️

🌴☕️🤞Keep your fingers crossed❣️ After yesterday’s cuppings, Arianna Farms ‘Ono Kona Coffee made the top 5 to be in the Finals in the annual cupping competition of the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival. A new round of cupping continues today! Good luck to everyone ☕️❣️
