Special tanks to our emergency fabrication crew! Alan Turkington and Scott Turkington
One of the guards that keep the hay moving through the chamber smoothly broke off.
No time to wait for ordered parts with this weather window! So With Alan and Scott's help, and their random stashes of useful things, we were able to fabricate another guard and get back up and running!
Yay!

Checking cows today and I am pretty impressed with the new bull Matt’s offspring doing pretty well for April calves.

The last few days of nice warm sunny weather have definitely made the grass grow, so today we worked the rest of the cows had a good crew. All went very well and hauled two groups out to pasture and drove one group to another field so no more feeding hay for the season!

"Hey! check out that new kid- just hanging around"
🤦‍♀️
Life with cows.
Yes, she had dry places to go.
And thankfully- yes, aside from her choice location,
she's a good mom and the calf is healthy and strong.

Mothers and babies are enjoying the new pasture. As the cows calve I move them to a different field that’s clean. This one has a lot of trees in it which the calves like.
