Join Scenic Place Peonies and accomplished floral designer, Shannon Pallin for a workshop celebrating the beautiful peonies of Homer, Alaska.

During this event, we will come together to create a thoughtful and intentional arrangement that embodies a maximalist design with a minimalist approach. Using a ceramic bowl inspired by jade, the Alaska state gem, your creation will encourage you to engage with the flowers, explore their shapes and sizes, and challenge traditional floral design norms. Alongside the exquisite peonies, we will incorporate locally foraged foliage and beach stones, and infuse a hint of Florida citrus into our arrangements.

Working in the serene setting of the peony fields and surrounding nature, we look forward to a wonderful experience where we will connect with you and the natural environment of picturesque Alaska. You will go home with a beautifully curated arrangement in a vessel that can serve as your muse for years to come.

Shannon Pallin is the owner and creative director of Fiore, a full-service florist and event design company in Pensacola, FL. Fiore is in its 19th year in downtown Pensacola, in addition to expert service, Fiore offers stunning florals and full event design concepts. At Fiore, Shannon gathers extraordinary components and intentionally styles them to capture the essence of every client’s vision, ensuring that they have a truly unique experience.

Shannon has over 30 years of comprehensive experience in the event industry and has worked as an interior florist at The Carlyle and The Plaza hotels, and many notable restaurants in New York City. Additionally, her freelance jobs landed her an opportunity to produce television and book content for Martha Stewart and Katie Brown. While working for Renny Reynolds, she assisted in creating events for the elite fashion world including Calvin Klein and Diane von Furstenburg. Shannon was also part of the talented teams for Preston Bailey Events curating opulent events with clients such as Oprah.

She resides in beautiful Pensacola, Florida with her husband and two children.
