During frequent rainy days, bees struggle to find nectar as it gets washed out of the flowers. To compensate, they seek out sugar-rich fruits to continue honey production. The mamey fruit is ideal for this, thanks to its high sugar content. Our bees gather sugar from the fruit, as well as nectar from the mamey flowers, which bloom abundantly for four months of the year, providing them with a reliable source of nourishment.
