Grass fed, pasture raised beef:
• is high in omega 3 fatty acids and is shown to reduce bad cholesterol
•is higher (even higher than chicken) in potentially life-saving "good fats" and cancer fighting CLA
•is lower in "bad fats" and calories
• is high in B6 and B12 to reduce homocysteine levels
•is even better for you than beef raised on organic grain
•is the natural diet of our early
ancestors
•is a unique product unlike anything you will find in supermarkets
•has only 50% of the saturated fat from a commercial feedlot steer
•is natures way of helping you become or stay healthy. Our cattle are all natural, even better than organic since they are pasture-fed and not grain fed. Grass fed beef, also known as pasture-fed beef, should not be confused with organic beef or free-range beef, as stated by Jo Robinson, author of "Why Grassfed is Best" (organic beef may be free of chemicals but does not guarantee the omega-3 rich diet of grass fed beef). Our beef will have a more wild taste and is very lean. You probably won't feel the need to use a George Foreman Grill. The big difference is the fat complex. Pure grass fed beef contains natures healthy ratio of omega-3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acids (CLA or "good fats") since our cattle do not receive any corn or grain in their diet, only fresh pasture and organic hay in winter. Note: CLA has been found to be highly protective against cancer when added to the diets of laboratory animals. (C Ip et al, Cancer, 1994, 74(3 suppl):1050-4).
