A PAUSE, NOT GOODBYE🤎
I’ve had to make the difficult decision to temporarily close Arise café until Spring, 2027.
One of the hardest lessons in entrepreneurship is understanding that not every decision can be made with your heart. As a business owner, you have a responsibility to consider everyone involved - your employees, your customers, your community, and the long-term sustainability of the business you’ve worked so hard to build.
Following my unexpected accident, I’ve had to accept that my physical presence is essential to the daily operations of Arise Café. And right now, while I continue to recover, I simply cannot give the café the hands-on leadership it deserves.
I have an incredible group of people who have stepped up during this challenging time, and I am beyond grateful. But I also recognize that asking others to carry the weight of my vision indefinitely, isn’t fair or sustainable.
Sometimes the strongest business decision isn’t to push harder, it’s to know when to pause. Arise was born from a dream that I carried for decades a place for nourishing, food and community could come together. That dream hasn’t changed.
To everyone who supported us during our first few weeks, thank you. Every smoothie purchased, and every bowl enjoyed, every kind word and every visit meant more than you know.
We may be closing our doors temporarily, but we are not closing the chapter. Here’s to healing and looking forward to rising again in the Spring of 2027.
