Good Night from Garst Farms! 🌅🐮❤️

What a beautiful ending to an unforgettable day! The sky was glowing orange, the cows were peacefully grazing, and our hearts are just a little fuller tonight. 🥹

After all those days of waiting and wondering, Velvet finally has her precious little girl by her side! And let me tell you, this baby is already FULL of life! 😂❤️

Watching her run around her mama and then come right up to give her that sweet little nose nudge at the end just melted my heart. 🥰

Tonight, everyone is accounted for, bellies are full, and we have one extra little blessing tucked in for the night.

Sleep tight, sweet friends! ❤️🐮

We waited and waited and WAITED on this little girl… and apparently she was just in there building up her energy. 😂❤️

She is strong, spunky and doing absolutely amazing. Velvet is doing great too, and watching the two of them together after this long calf watch makes every single check worth it. 🥹

Welcome to Garst Farms, little girl. Now we just have to figure out what we’re going to call you. 👀🐮

IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!! 😭🐮❤️

I went up to water the cows and everybody was there… except Velvet.

I started looking for her, calling her, walking through the woods and checking all her usual spots. Nothing. Of course, I had left my phone in the truck because I figured I’d find her, go grab my phone, and come back for some video.

By then, the rest of the herd had headed out to pasture, and I was getting ready to circle around and search the other side of the woods…

And then I heard her moo. 🥹

I turned around, came back around the woods, and there was Velvet…

Walking out with her brand-new little HEIFER calf beside her. 😭❤️🐮

After DAYS of checking her morning and night… “still no calf… still no calf… STILL no calf…” 😂

Velvet finally decided today was the day.

Welcome to Garst Farms, sweet baby girl. ❤️

Now we need an F name for this little lady… and y’all KNOW I want to hear your suggestions! 👇

Good morning from Garst Farms! 🌅🐮

I was up and at it a little earlier than usual this morning, back to taking care of everybody solo like the old days. The cows didn’t seem to mind the early breakfast one bit — they were already waiting and had plenty to say when I pulled up. 😂

After a pretty stressful night, there was something about this cool, quiet morning and watching everybody settle in at the troughs that brought a little peace back to my soul. There really is something about being out here with these animals. 🤎

Of course I checked on Velvet… and you guessed it. Still. No. Calf. 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

And Fuego and Fuller made sure I got my morning greeting before I left.

Sometimes the simplest mornings are the ones you need most. ❤️

Good night from Garst Farms. ❤️ The sun was low and bright, the temperatures were cooling off, and everybody was happy out grazing. Fuego even ran alongside the RTV for a minute while we made our evening rounds. 🥰

And then, of course, the final stop… Velvet. Still pregnant. Still keeping us waiting. Still apparently in absolutely NO hurry. 😂😅 At this point, I think she enjoys the suspense as much as y’all do!

Good morning from Garst Farms! ☀️🐮

It was one of those nice, calm mornings where everybody decided to behave themselves for once. 😂 Even Tim let some of the calves eat right beside him without running them off!

Of course, we had to end our morning rounds with a check on Velvet… and yep—she’s STILL holding onto that baby. 🤦🏼‍♀️ At this point, I think she’s just enjoying all the extra attention.

Anybody want to guess how many more mornings she’s going to keep us waiting? 😂🐮

Another day coming to a close at Garst Farms. 🌅🐮

We took one last drive through the pasture as the sun was setting, checking on all the cows and calves before calling it a night.

And of course, we couldn’t finish without one final check on Velvet. Still no baby… so the waiting continues. ❤️🐮

Think tonight will finally be the night?

Just a bunch of tiny Kunekune piglets doing very important piglet business. 🐷😂

Those little chewing mouths get me every single time. 🥹 Who else could sit and watch these babies all day?
