Go the extra yard for Hawai‘i’s teachers.

For the month of September, for every featured Mai Tai or burger purchased at Sheraton Princess Kaiulani, The Royal Hawaiian, Sheraton Waikiki, Moana Surfrider or Sheraton Maui, $1 will be donated to Extra Yard for Teachers.

In partnership with the Hawaii Bowl Foundation, College Football Playoff Foundation and Teach For America Hawai‘i, funds raised stay in Hawai‘i and provide grants for public and public charter school teachers to purchase classroom supplies and bring meaningful learning projects to life.

This year’s Queen’s Tea honors Queen Liliʻuokalani through one of the values at the heart of her legacy: caring for Hawaiʻi’s keiki and ensuring the Hawaiian culture continues through them.

In partnership with Lili`uokalani Trust, Chef Sam Choy will lead a special culinary demonstration, sharing the traditions, flavors and stories of Hawaiʻi with keiki in a way they can experience firsthand.

It’s more than learning how a dish is made. It’s an opportunity to pass down ʻike, connect generations and give our keiki a deeper understanding of the culture they will one day carry forward.

Join us September 5 at the Moana Surfrider as we celebrate Queen Liliʻuokalani by continuing what mattered deeply to her: nurturing Hawaiʻi’s keiki and keeping Hawaiian traditions alive.

On September 5, join us at The Veranda for Queen’s Tea, a special celebration of Queen Liliʻuokalani’s birthday and her enduring legacy.
The afternoon brings Hawaiian culture to life through a curated Royal Tea service, live music by Kuʻuipo Kumukahi and the Hawaiian Music Perpetuation Society, a culinary demonstration with renowned Hawaiʻi chef Sam Choy, and a floral experience by Eco Mindful Lei featuring pua kalaunu, the crown flower beloved by the Queen. Guests will also enjoy a keiki hula performance by Kahulaleʻa.
We invite you to arrive in your favorite holokū or muʻumuʻu and spend an afternoon celebrating her legacy in the timeless setting of the Moana Surfrider.

The Moana Surfrider is proud to partner with Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation as our nonprofit partner for the month of August.

Dine at participating restaurants across our portfolio of hotels, including Moana Surfrider, The Royal Hawaiian, Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort, Sheraton Princess Kaiulani, and Sheraton Maui. Throughout August, $1 from each designated burger and Mai Tai will be donated to Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation assists, supports, and advocates for the needs of children diagnosed with cancer, their families, and long-term survivors of childhood cancer.

Join us in dining for a cause throughout August.
