February at Keiki and Plow
February is a month that invites love and connection, and on the farm, that shows up as aloha in motion, in the way we care for the land, share the work, and make space for one another. This time of year asks us to slow just enough to notice the change in weather, what’s coming into season, and what is beginning to take shape through our shared efforts.
Lately, our days have been full in the best way. We’ve been working alongside the team, planting and harvesting as the fields offer up carrots, daikon, eggplant, okra, green onion, kale, cilantro, and Hawaiian chili pepper, with bananas always nearby and avocados, spring mix, and guava just beginning to come in. There’s something grounding about moving through the farm together, learning the rhythms, tending what’s ready, and paying attention to what needs care next.
Being in this work continues to deepen our sense of connection to this ‘āina and to the community that surrounds it. Love, here, feels less like a single moment and more like a practice, showing up consistently, listening closely, and honoring the relationships that make this place what it is.
Mahalo for the care and aloha you bring to Keiki and Plow. We’re grateful to be sharing this season with you.
Open Farm: Now Booking March–June Dates
Join us this month, on Saturday, February 14 and 28, from 9–11 AM for open farm play and optional U-Pick.
What is Open Farm?
Open Farm is a time for families to slow down, connect, and experience the farm together through open-ended play, exploration, and shared time on the 'aina.
Bring your ‘ohana for a relaxed morning on the farm filled with hands-on play and gentle connections with the land and animals. Our Keiki Coop offers play at its best, with a mud kitchen, sand pit, giant slide, pirate ship, and other thoughtfully designed spaces for exploring and creating.
A farm favorite, feeding time with Uncle Nick happens at 10 AM, when keiki help care for the chickens, ducks, bunnies, and goats.
U-Pick Produce
For those who want to take home a taste of the farm, we offer optional U-Pick with basket options at $10 / $20 / $40. All crops are organically grown, and we encourage you to wander the gardens and harvest whatever looks fresh and delicious to your ‘ohana. Prefer not to pick? We also offer a fresh selection from the farm’s harvest, along with niu (coconuts) and a few farm-made favorites.
Reservations Required
All guests must reserve tickets in advance. “Babes in arms” (infants who remain in a carrier or stroller) attend for free and do not require a ticket.
Farm Preschool- We Still Have Spots Available!
Our first Farm Preschool session of 2026 begins this week, and there’s still room to join!
Farm Preschool is a nature-based program on the farm for parents/caregivers and keiki ages 1–5. Over six weeks, a small group of families (15 max) gathers to tend this ‘āina, follow children’s curiosity, and build connection, with themselves, with one another, and with the farm around them.
This year, we’ve expanded our mornings from two to three hours, allowing the day to unfold more slowly. The extra time creates space for deeper play, longer exploration, and a more relaxed rhythm that honors both keiki and caregivers.
Our mornings typically include shared work in the garden, farm-fresh snacks, circle-time songs and stories, seasonal crafts, and plenty of open-ended time to explore the farm. Just as importantly, the program offers space for caregivers to connect, share stories, and grow community through shared experience and mālama, care for one another and the land.
We meet rain or shine, adjusting as needed, and encourage families to come prepared for outdoor learning with rain boots, jackets, and a change of clothes.
If this feels like a good fit for your ‘ohana, we’d love to have you.
Spring Break Farm Camp
Join us for a fun-filled spring break adventure at Keiki and Plow! Designed for 3rd through 5th graders, our hands-on farm camp blends science, sustainability, and malama ʻaina through outdoor exploration, inquiry-based learning, and meaningful farm work. Campers leave with new skills, new questions, and a deeper connection to where food comes from.
Over five days, students will:
- Explore the farm through guided scavenger hunts
- Learn how farmers think like scientists: observing, testing, and problem-solving
- Plant seeds and track their growth
- Discover how worms and decomposers turn waste into healthy soil
- Build and take home their own mini compost system
- Investigate soil, plants, animals, and water as connected systems
Campers will also enjoy music, nature-inspired crafts, and delicious farm-fresh snacks, all while connecting with the 'aina in a nurturing and engaging environment. Come grow, create, and play with us this spring!
Curious minds welcome. Dirty hands encouraged.
March 16-20, 2026

While Keiki and Plow is first and foremost a place for play, exploration, and connection for keiki and 'ohana, it is also a working farm where food is grown with care. Alongside our programs and gatherings, we continue to tend crops and harvest what the 'aine offers each season. Looking ahead, we’re excited to slowly and thoughtfully grow the food production side of the farm, sharing more fresh produce and farm-made foods with our community over time. Our hope is to nourish families not only through their experiences here, but also through food grown and cared for on this ‘āina.
