Dinner tonight…..❤️❤️❤️

Romaine from 3 Corners Farm, Red Flame Grapes from the Sheppard’s, Farmhouse cheddar from our neighbors, sliced apples and walnuts made the MOST SATISFYING late summer salad!!! I had a creamy poppy dressing to top it off!!!
Saved the leftover salad for lunch tomorrow.

Roasted tomatoes, garlic, onion, and herbs for an hour to blend into a tomatoe soup. Used the fresh sourdough English muffins in a cast iron pan, added mixed cheese and a few slices of bacon and apple slices to make a VERY SATISFYING sandwich!!
Thanks Sonna Weddle for the great bread to go with all of this produce!

Come fill your baskets and pick out a bouquet this Sunday!

As much as I need the physical rest, and thoroughly enjoyed completing a crossword with my uncle during my open hours- it’s not in the best interest for a business based on fresh produce.

I’m hoping I will be much busier tomorrow with y’all picking out blueberries, bouquets, bunches of apples, beautiful peaches and baskets full of fun items.

Fresh round of pies thanks to my Mom! ( Thanks Mom!!!)

Let’s slow down a bit and take time roast peppers, roast beets, roast carrots, summer some apple sauce, and eat a bunch of grapes while reading a magazine.

I love cooler weather cooking. Next on my list, I want a white bean chili soup with lots of these gorgeous peppers!

In my mind, I told myself- I made it through August, it will be okay. This was on Sept 1st.
You all put my endurance to the test with WONDERFUL orders through GFC on top of my busiest Sunday at the stand yet. Tuesday could have been a melt down for me had my family not stepped in to help during a crazy week of orders, harvesting peaches and nectarines and trying to be as present as possible during Anjou harvest. Really truly I couldn’t do what I do without the support of my family when it counts.
Got most of the peaches off before the rain today. 😮‍💨
Got orders packed to the best of my ability. 😮‍💨
If we have a rain day tomorrow, I think I will be okay with that.
Hope to see lots of y’all at the stand this weekend to keep the good trend going.

Again, life is about balance. Harvest time is crazy. Sometimes we have to stop and pick up ready to eat food. How can I add some local and fresh flavor? Even adding a few basil leaves and cherry tomatoes helps round out this breakfast burrito.

Sometimes I have 15 extra minutes to make oatmeal. Lucky for me I had a perfectly ripe Bartlett pear to slice into my oatmeal with a spoonful of peanut butter. So tasty and the perfect September breakfast!

Hoping your day is fueled with food that makes you feel good!

Happy Harvest time to everyone!!! 💪🍐🍎🍑

You guessed it- another evening of picking peaches. This variety Calvin and I really enjoyed- back to the intense color, firm flesh and a nice balance of sweet and a little fall tang. I sure miss my peach picking buddy.
I am so glad that so many people get to enjoy the peaches Calvin planted many years ago.
Also thankful my Mom made pies again this weekend! One peach pie left, pear and and apple pies also available.
Restock on fresh bread Sunday am!
Fun peachy gifts and gorgeous bouquets for anybody you need to say- I am thinking of you.
