Over the last few days we have processed over 300 lbs of fresh chicken! It’s a real relief to go out and see that empty pen once the job is complete. The last few weeks are always a bit worrisome. Between heat, storms, and wildlife meat birds require a lot of care!

I do have extra chicken available. Come out today from 9-11. Prefer another day? Send me a message!

I have frozen rabbit and turkey available as well. Unfortunately I do not have the energy this morning to harvest, but if you come out another day let me know in advance to have fresh swiss chard, kale, kohlrabi, cabbage, or garlic scapes waiting for you.

Who wants to pick up FRESH non-GMO pasture raised chicken Friday morning???

Yes - fresh chicken will be available tomorrow morning. Saturday morning as well. Contact me ASAP to place an order!

A few things to consider:

*All packaged chickens are placed in the freezer. I am not able to hold chicken refrigerated. However, it usually takes a day to freeze solid. The earlier you pick up, the less likely it is to be frozen.

*Order whole chickens. Pick them up fresh. Take home and cut and pack to your liking. You now have packaged cuts for a fraction of the price!

*If you would like to pick up fresh chicken to cook this weekend, I recommend grabbing a few Friday. You can then roast, grill, or smoke them over the weekend.

*Your birds will be well chilled or frozen, but please bring a cooler to transport - it’s hot!

*Preorders of whole chickens have the option of keeping necks, feet, heart, and liver at no additional cost. If you want any or all of those items, please tell me when placing your order.

*I will have extra packages of necks and feet available after processing is complete. Livers and hearts must be preordered!

I just harvested about 80% of our broccoli. I got it in earlier, so it is ready a few weeks earlier than last year. It is already producing side shoots, so I am optimistic that I will continue to get some fresh broccoli!

This is 16.5 pounds of absolutely perfect, fresh picked broccoli. Odd weather aside, I am happy with how it did! Now I am off to start chopping it for the freezer. Beef and broccoli will be on the menu tonight!!

This week we will be processing our first batch of chickens of the year! Check your freezers and message me to place your order. Make sure to get enough to get you through the summer grilling season!

Remember - you can also grab frozen rabbit or turkey while you are here!

This week I am not able to take orders for plants. I will try to get a list out, though please reference the list from last week. I am trying to put together a graduation party and get to market tomorrow. Wish me luck 😬

Our family meals often include homegrown turkey. What can I say - a farmer is going to serve her own food!

This 10 lb turkey breast is being smoked today to be turned into a crockpot full of turkey bacon ranch sandwiches for my son’s graduation party this weekend.

Does this mean we have an insane week of normal family life, catching up on farm tasks, AND prepping for a party? 😂 Sure does!
