Yes the flowers are gorgeous and plentiful and fun to pick. But watching your friend absolutely SHINE in the community she built? That's the thing. That's the magic.

We had the best time at our first Lily & Sage Farm u-pick last night. I took 1 million pictures, Caroline befriended a cat and discovered she loves dahlias 🤣, and we got to pick some truly beautiful bouquets. Thanks for a magical evening, Kate ♥️

What a great first experience growing corn! I am so so happy that we have another crop in the freezer that came straight from this property. These bags of corn will be used all winter in casseroles, soups, and taco bowls. And don't worry, we kept plenty out to eat fresh off the cob, too!
I LOVE a corn processing party with the whole family. It is a nostalgic experience for me and I hope one day the girls will look back on it fondly as well, even if it feels like a boring chore in the moment 😂

No one's favorite chore, but a necessary one!
Chickens will lay fewer eggs than normal for all kinds of reasons, from a dirty coop to a change in feed or even illness. Everyone seems healthy enough and nothing else has changed so we have our fingers crossed that a coop refresh will yield us more than 2 eggs a day! 😳

Do you have a ton of basil coming out of your garden right now? Me too friend. Pesto is a fast, easy, and delicious way to preserve your harvest! Plus it's incredibly customizable.
Nut free? Use seeds instead - pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds would be amazing!
Dairy free? Skip the parmesan and add nutritional yeast.
Don't have basil? Substitute what you've got in your garden! Arugula, nasturtium plants, oregano, rosemary, parsley....the list goes on! Have fun with it and try something new!
