Welcome to the page for Layton's Rolling View Farm! We have 25+ horses on the farm. We offer horseback rides and riding clinics for kids and adults and basic to advanced trail riding. The farm has horses, cows, dogs, cats, peacocks, a maple syrup stove, and all kinds of great Michigan wildlife. With 280 acres cared for by 5 generations of family, we can offer you a truly unique experience

. The wildlife you can see from the back of a horse is only beaten in beauty by the scenery of the rolling hills.

Thank you for your patience these first few months into riding season. Due to unforseen circumstances, we haven't been able to take riding reservations. We are hoping to get back into it this fall/next spring, so please keep an eye out for any updates in the future. Going to take this time to train horses and concentrate on the farm until then. Cost is $200 for couple (includes ride, Couples picture on the ride , campfire, and dinner.)

With the warmer weather coming in, we are getting a lot of calls for trail rides. We are itching to get out there as well! But with the nice weather, everything is thawing and the trail is really slick and wet. We will post an update when Layton's RVF is ready for you. Looking forward to welcoming you back as this season begins!

I'm having a test run tonight for starting something new.
A date night sunset ride. Comes with an hour ride planned so we're out riding at sunset. I'll pick a good spot for a nice picture of the 2 of you. Then you'll go by my firepit and have a nice dinner Provided by Russo's of Hopkins. With a treat after dinner. Wine is available and is also provided by Russo's.

I'm very surprised on the interest in the date night ride! I'm very close to being able to do it. There well be 4 dinner choices. Beef tips, pulled pork, pasta choices, and pizza with bread sticks. And the special for Saturday night only will be Prime Rib. (may be higher cost). Dinners have a choice of potato and salad.This all sitting by a nice fire with time to relax and enjoy. All this and more in one price for 2 people for only 150.00. 2 Couples for 290.00 3 couples for 430.00. I will post all the options but I'm ready to do it. It will be as soon as I can accept deposits.

It's a great time to ride. If you want to schedule a ride; It's best to call 2 or 3 days ahead right now. It has been very busy thur ‐ saturday maybe Sunday. I may get you in that or the day before. 1 or 2 riders is easier than 4 or more for last minute scheduling.
If you have an appointment please let me know if you're running late or can't make it so I can fill the spot in enough time. I've gotten 6 or 8 no shows this year so far that just makes it so someone else can't go. When it's a no show and nobody comes, I can't fill the spot at the last minute. If this keeps happening I'll have to start taking deposits for rides. I don't want to have to do that. It's bad for you and me. Just had one today, I turned away 10 people today. 45 minutes in the saddling and getting ready, They said they called but the phone dropped and they never told me anything and assumed that was good enough. so now I've got 5 horses saddled and nobody to ride And it's 90 outside. So if you can't make it or not as many are riding, please contact me asap to let me know. Thank you for understanding.

We have a JULY KID'S CLINIC for kids that want to get a good start on riding and handling horses! This is a beginner horse starter clinic. I'm looking for horse loving kids that want to learn basic horse skills. They'll learn from the ground up. We'll go over handling, leading, saddling and riding with emphasis on SAFETY. It will be 5 days, 3 hours a day. The days are as follows: monday JULY 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17. These will be morning time of 9am til 12PM.
