Hampton Meats is a slaughter, processing and retail facility that focuses on the slaughter, processing, and retail of beef, pork, and lamb. Based in Hopkinsville, KY, we provide wholesome, high quality, nutritious and flavorful products to customers ranging from custom whole animal producers, foodservice operators, independent grocery stores, independent restaurants, and retail walk-in customers.

Position Purpose:
Retail Customer Service Representative provides a fast, friendly and accurate checkout experience. Basic math skills and a sense of customer care urgency are a must. While not waiting on a customer they must assist in the cleaning of the counter, tables, and slicer.
Core Accountabilities:
Ensure the smooth and efficient checkout of customers
Demonstrate the ability to be organized, to work independently and most importantly work with a team approach to provide the highest quality shopping experience for our customers.
Quality and safety duties include following proper cleaning and sanitation procedures. Operate the deli slicer and knives in a safe and focused manner. Follow all company guidelines and procedures, to include but not limited to, safety and sanitation while providing overall exceptional service to ensure a positive and lasting customer impression. Adhere to Hampton Meats HACCP plan and USDA guidelines.
Observe all store rules and Company policies, shift operating hours at all times scheduled or assigned by the Retail Manager.
Addressing and greeting customers; answering questions in a friendly manner; proactively offering assistance and providing accurate and timely information; making product recommendations and accommodating special requests.
Be able to listen to other team members' points of view. Have a solution to the problem when expressing your point of view.
Prioritize request and Retail activities while managing interruptions and attending to details to complete the task
Have knowledge of all meat products used throughout the Retail to help customers in finding complete meal solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Basic knowledge of Math
Must be at least 18 years of age
Work Environment/Physical Responsibilities:
Retail involves continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
Responsible for moving or lifting from 1 – 50 pounds. 50 pounds lifted would be on occasion.
Will be required to spend the majority of the days on concrete standing or walking with a break every 2.5 hours
