Happy New Year! We have taken advantage of the warm weather by starting to clear an over grown pasture. Our plans are to mulch, lime and seed creating more grazing space for future growth.
Our goal is to provide value and growth to our farm. We will strive to maintain Family Farm Values through hard work. Owned by Shannon and Justin Eberlin

Any guesses what’s in the near future?!
As I was sitting here trying to decide what facts to post about factory farm vs small farm pasture raised chickens- I decided to let pictures speak for themselves.
I know the numbers aren’t even close for comparison, but that is the point. We don’t ever want to be that large and hope to educate those around us of the reality of factory farms.
Our new waterer arrived today, these hanging devices will provide a constant supply of fresh water for the chickens.
Last night we finished up our chicken tractor and we were able to move our meat birds out of the brooder. Once we finish building our second chicken tractor this weekend we will have 25 birds in each. Our design with the chicken tractor gives each bird 4 square feet of space, shelter from the elements but still able to experience fresh air and sunshine, and since they are moved daily- fresh grass to graze on.
This years first batch of meat birds are growing nicely, before we know it the time will be here to transition them to their outdoor chicken tractors.
This batch of birds won’t be for sale, we are still fine tuning our butchering and packaging process to ensure our product is the best it can be from start to finish.
We look forward to being able to share a quality product that is small farm and pasture raised with you soon.
One step closer to having one of our pastures fenced in- spent the weekend drilling holes and putting in fence posts
We have fresh eggs available $2.50 per dozen. Message us to arrange pick up.
A little steady rain doesn’t stop us! This evening we planted our peach and apple trees. Our trees that we planted last year are looking great and budding out.
Need eggs? $2.50 a dozen, send us a message.
Excited for our bird orders we placed- more egg layers (Rhode island reds and Ameraucana’s), a few more polish chickens for our daughter (silver laced polish), Cornish cross meat birds and our first batch of Bronze Breasted Turkeys. Looking forward to this springs adventures and expansion.

Our most recent adventure- raising and harvesting our own meat chickens. With this being our first experience we decided to take this year as a year to learn and grow so we can offer an exceptional product. Our goal for next year is to expand our business to include pasture raised chickens that our amazing customers will be able to purchase and enjoy.
Tonight we added Old Glory to our barn
It’s a beautiful day to be a chicken
Our girls love the patch of wild raspberries that grow behind our barn- they get lots of shade and sweet treats
We have some grapes growing!! It may not be a lot but it is more than we had last year. We are excited to watch our Catawba grapes finish growing and ripen.
Been keeping busy catching up on spring time tasks
It’s an amazing feeling to see things grow!
It’s a little blurry but we will take 2% sugar from our trees.
It’s better late then never to get trees tapped. Cheers to the 2020 season.
36 all the way.
Happy ! Thank you to all of the hardworking New York dairy farmers who make it possible to enjoy this delicious and truly nutritious treat.

Merry Christmas from Benny’s Farm.
Today we stopped by the gravesite of Benedict and Eliza Ferenbaugh and placed a ribbon on their family monument. The Ferenbaughs were the original settlers of our land in the late 1800s , they built our house and barn. When deciding the name for our farm we felt it was important to go back to the roots, thus coming up with the name Benny’s Farm.
