We raise registered black Angus replacement bulls and heifers. We expect our females to be bred by 14 months of age, have a live calf by 24 months of age, raise a calf, and breed back on time with only what our pastures will produce. We graze 365 days and year and feed no hay. We do supplement minerals to our cattle.

I was sitting here today looking at a barn full of hay, remembering those years when I fed no hay. Stock piling grass, rotational grazing, moving cattle once a week instead of feeding hay everyday is the way to raise cattle.

I saw this picture today of our cattle grazing up to their eyes in deep snow. Just another day of grazing.
