With over 50 healthy little ones, 4 sets of triplets, and a whole lot of cuteness we're almost finished with 2023 lambing season. Super pleased with our ladies this year and all their precious littles.

All these sweet ladies will be having little ones before we know it. With a little less than two months away, lambing preparation is underway and we're getting excited to enjoy all of the lamb snuggles we can get.

Each fall our maturing chicks are placed into the greenhouse. Here they can scratch, stay warm, acclimate to the outdoor temperatures a bit easier while fertilizing our beds for the next growing season. During the winter months our adult hens will be placed inside as well, meeting their new little friends while staying warm. This method gives these ladies longer stretches of daylight, therefore increasing egg production. These ladies will leave us with a well fertilized and loose ground for our spring crops. Happy hens make some happy farmers!
