My heart is feeling so full from the workshop last weekend and I’m excited for the blossoming of 2024! 💚 Monday I started collecting scion and continued pruning in the orchards. March 16th we’re co-hosting a grafting workshop with The Farm Connection and Lyndon Smith. So, mark your calendars! I’m signing off of social media for 10 days, starting today, to sit for a meditation retreat. Here’s to going within and connecting to source, and to the dormant season that allows us to root down and prepare for the coming of Spring! 🪷💫🌱

Mark your calendars folks! Our first workshop of the season, Fruit Tree Pruning and Holistic Orchard Management, is set for February 10th at Green Heart Farm.

Please join us in the orchards to further cultivate your knowledge and experience on how to manage your fruit trees holistically and work with nature's cycles & rhythms.

Also, for all you foodies out there, we'll have a delicious potluck including hot apple c***r, spring water, and a big 'ole pot of Changua, a traditional Columbian egg-drop soup, prepared by the farm crew.

Scion wood will be available for purchase at the workshop, along with bare root fruit trees, select amendments, and pruning tools.

And, as always, kids are totally welcome 🙌

Our first workshop of the 2024 season is scheduled and its gonna be AWESOME! Join us for a Fruit Tree Pruning and Holistic Orchard Management Workshop at Green Heart Farm on Saturday Feb 10th! This one will be led by our favorite orchardists Philip Kendall and Lyndon Smith of Botanist and Barrel. Learn not only about pruning trees properly (new and old), but also about how to care for your fruit trees using regenerative no-spray practices. We will share the day in a stunning 100+ year old orchard near Max Patch, gain experience and insights, and share a sweet potluck together!

Hey folks, we’ll be doing Christmas tree harvests this weekend (Saturday 10-4pm and Sunday noon-2pm)! 🌲 Trees are $50-100 sliding scale.

We grow “regenerative Christmas trees” and have never sprayed our trees. By cutting above the first three rungs of branches the tree is left alive and able to generate new growth, which will eventually become another tree top, ideal for harvest again in about 10-12 years. We also prune our trees mínimally so that there is less impact on the tree and it’s a little easier to hang ornaments.😉
