BFF provides high quality, healthy meat poultry directly to consumers. We carry chickens, turkeys, quail, and chukars. We specialize in the American Bresse-the only chicken with marbled meat.

Who are the new KIDS on the block?

Let me introduce the Crawfords of Oxbow Farm in Glade Park near Colorado National Monument. Elizabeth and Charles run a small family farm that has a variety of livestock which even include yaks.
The hand made items you can order include goat milk soaps, lip balm, crochet soap clothes, jams, jellies, and other canned goods. Charles even has some custom leatherworks he will be promoting this summer for those interested.
We appreciate them sharing their products in this years CSA and helping us grow.

There is still time to signup for the 23 CSA. So far, we have deliveries/pickups scheduled in Hotchkiss, Clifton, Carbondale and Rifle area but willing to add more stops. We would love to add you to our list. 😊

It’s time to sign up for the 2023 CSA.
I’m pleased to announce that Sunshine Mesa Farm and Wildflowers Divine Dough will be supplying their delicious microgreens and baked goods again this season. We also have a wonderful newcomer, Oxbow Farm in Glade Park. They will be sharing homemade goat milk soaps, lip balms, and jams and jellies.
Over the next week, I will be spotlighting each farm or business and how our CSA works. It’s our goal to get healthy, fresh foods and goods to as many people on the Western Slope as possible. We all truly believe Farm Fresh has better flavor and nutrients, and is a more sustainable way to provide for our local communities.

WOOHOO! I’m pleased to announce that Michelle Livingston with Sunshine Mesa Farm has agreed to supply her scrumptious, organically grown, micro-greens again this CSA.

This season Michelle is offering 1 or 2 oz packages of Broccoli, Cabbage, Kale, Kohlrabi, Mustard, Pea Shoots, Radish, Sunflower, 5 Green Salad, and a Mix.

All CSA products are discounted 10% off of retail prices for the entire 23 season. Leave a comment or message, and I will get you more information on how the CSA works and how to join.

Thank you Whiting Farms Hatchery for helping me get some beautiful chicks out to the public. With the cost of eggs increasing, the demand for pullet chicks has just been crazy this year. If you need help finding egg layers, please reach out to me. I have connection with local farms that carry pullets in varying stages from day old chicks to a mature laying hen.

Well….I know spring has officially sprung. 🌱
I’ve had 3 people message me about chickens this last week,so I guess it’s time to dust off my pages and get to advertising this years CSA.
I ordered the first batch of chicks and expect them at the end of April. I reached out to the two wonderful ladies from last year-Sunshine Mesa Farm, Michelle, and Wildflowers Divine Dough, Racheal-to see if they are in for this year as well. I’m happy to say they are. 🤗 I‘ve also messaged a couple of goat soap makers to see if one is interested in joining our CSA as well. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
I’m shooting for the end of this week to have the 23 CSA order forms ready to email out for those interested in locking in at the discounted prices for the year.
