Hi yall! So I had decided to leave a couple of Pattypans to fully ripen for some nice decor/serving vessels. At least I thought it was a couple per plant but as you can see it was bit more than that. I'm going to cure these for a week or two then they'll be ready for your fall displays and holiday dinners. They're pretty on their own but of course you can scoop them out and make some beautiful serving vessels for all your tasty stuff. They'll also cook up nice, not as sweet and more savory than a butternut. And in addition to that, the plants are freed up to start pushing some more summer pattypans that I'll be bringing back to market.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone's doing well and looking forward to fall. I'll be down at the Hotchkiss Saturday Market tomorrow at the Creamery from 10-1 with more goods out of the garden for yall. As always, I've got lettuce for $5/bag and Oyster Mushroom for $14/lb, the cucumbers and squash are still going for $2/lb, and Shish*tos and Jalapeños are here for $2/Half Pound bag. Eggplant, garlic, probably a lot of stuff Ive forgotten about, a whole bunch of nice stuff for a great dinner!

Fall must be around the corner because the tomatillos are here and ready for salsa or any other fun you might have planned for them. I have the green tomatillos of course alongside Big Jim chiles, jalapeños, and Rocombole garlic; get a couple onions and some some Pablanos and you're set for some beautiful homemade salsa verde! I also have these purple tomatillos with a nice berry sweetness and bitey acidity, clutch ingredient for a nice red salsa. And certainly don't forget about the golden Chupon tomatillos, remarkably sweet with notes of pineapple and banana, these would be stunning as a base for a mango salsa. Come check them out for $3/lb!

I finally got around to sorting the potatoes so alongside the four varieties I'll have some Petite Medley potatoes, little guys ready to be cut or roasted whole so you can get a little taste of all the potatoes on hand! $3/2lb bag.

Got the tomatillos coming in! These are the Gold and Purple tomatillos, I have Greens too so I should have a base for a nice Salsa Verde for ya with the chiles, jalapeños and garlic. These gold tomatillos are super tasty and quite sweet, could be excellent for a more tropical salsa. The purples are more pungent, a bit more acidic, and have a bitey berry flavor. I could see these as a clutch ingredient for a choice red salsa matched up with some nice heat. Honestly, they're all sweet enough to be a nice salad item too. Very tasty all around, I'm looking forward to getting yall some of these for market! Happy growing!

Hello everyone! Hope we're all doing well, I'm set for the Hotchkiss Saturday Market tomorrow from 10-1 at the Creamery with some nice farm goodies for ya! I'll have the Lettuce Blend for $5/bag, cucumbers and squash for $2/lb, Shish*to and Jalapeño peppers for $2/Half Lb bag, Big Jim chiles for $3/lb, and a whole lot of potatoes for $3/2lb bag. I've got a whole lot of tasty stuff for a fabulous dinner including these Pohu Oyster Mushrooms for $14/lb, always nice on the plate . A new arrival are these Rotunda Eggplant, these small red eggplant are pungently flavored and add a nice color, I recommend a marinade before a grilling for these guys but I'm certain you'll find a fun way to cook them up.

Hi yall! The Hotchkiss Saturday Market is open! We blew the doors off for opening so I'm a bit late on the post but we'll be here til 1 so swing on by and nab some nice local goodies!

Hi yall! Hope everyone's doing great and enjoying a bit of respute from the heat. I'm all set for the Hotchkiss Saturday Market tomorrow from 10-1 with some new goodies off the farm for ya! I'll have the Lettuce Blend for $5/bag, still going strong for some nice summer salads. I have Boston and Suyo cucumbers for $2/lb to boost that salad up too. There's still plenty of garlic at $1/bulb as well as the black garlic at $4/bulb for some tasty cookery along with Shish*to and Jalapeños for $2/Half Lb bag.

The first Big Jim Chiles are here, they're a great thick walled mild chile, choice for Rellanos and any other application you're looking to use some chile liberally with out getting scorched, try them out at $3/lb. The Kamo eggplant are popping too, nicely flavored and shaped to make a beautiful towering Parmesan prep, $3/lb.

Pink Oysters! Very pretty and tasty to boot. I was worried I messed these up in their buckets but sure enough they started popping so swing by and put some tasty color on your plate for $16/lb (keep in mind a pound of mushroom is a lot of mushroom, the fruit in the pic is about a half pound).

The first potatoes are here too! I have some White Envols, smooth white potatoes for mash; Norlands, classic waxy red for roasting and potato salad; Adirondak Pink, tender pink fleshed potato for a very pretty and tasty addition to the plate; and Masquerades, a small light gold fleshed potato with splotched purple skin and great for roasting whole with that pretty skin kept on. All of these are available in 3lb bags for $5 a piece, come get all stocked up and get ready for four more late varieties in the coming weeks.

Just dug up the first row of early potatoes! These are Adirondak Pinks and White Envols, I'll have another row of Norland Reds and Masquerades then in a couple weeks I'll be digging up two rows of late season potatoes. We'll have a mountain of taters for sure. Happy growing!
