It completely left my mind to share about the last show of the season! And ANOTHER addition to Em’s foundation herd - 3rd and last one. So better late than never.

Colorado Dairy Goat Association Harvest Show was a lot of fun early this month! We got to go with some western slope friends and make lots of new front range friends. Em showed both days in the peewee showmanship & it was bitter sweet to watch her end that chapter as she will be moving up next year.

We were also super excited to bring home Heavens Hallow Sensibly Spicy. Her and Em have already built a great foundation as she’s been independently milking her herself and, lucky for us, she went right into our new herdsires pen and hopefully is already bred for 2027!

Thank you Heaven's Hollow Dairy Goats for such a sweet goat! And

So it begins ….. and I guess due to that now is the best time to finally Introduce our brand new junior herd sire, Tall & Small TR On Tap aka Copper.

Copper is the result of an exciting AI breeding by Laurie Stutz of Tall & Small between GCH Tall & Small FF Co**ha 4*M and Wolfivan Tap Root, bringing together two pedigrees we are incredibly excited about adding to our herd.

His dam, GCH Tall & Small FF Co**ha 4*M, has proven herself in the show ring and in the milk pail. Co**ha was 4th place 3-year-old with 3rd place udder at the 2025 ADGA Nationals and is a 4th generation Permanent Champion, carrying generations of proven dairy quality behind her. And her offspring is already making an impression—Co**ha's 2-year-old daughter recently finished her championship as a first freshener this spring on top of earning her milk star.

On his sire's side, Tap Root is the son of 2025 ADGA Reserve National Champion GCH Wolfivan Valerian Root 4*M 91 EEEE, and Wolfivan Welcome to Jamrock, a son of GCH Hidden Hills Natural Mystic 7*M 92 EEEE.

This little buck has an incredible amount of proven genetics packed into his pedigree—championships, strong udders, and milk. We are so excited to watch On Tap grow and see what he brings to Bloomstone Farm. Thank you so much Laurie for allowing us to add such a special guy to Em’s herd!!

Today is an EXCITING day!!!

Our two new does are going to offically be on their way from Bella RoBella Rossa Estategia … all the way to us in Colorado!!

These two girls will be my show goats, as Em has been working on her little foundation herd. It only felt fair for mama to get two show goats of her own.

Safe travels Lil Miss B Haven Dare to Dream & Bella Rosa Estate Briar Moon.

We can not wait till you get here!!!

As where Em was ‘over the moon’ about Friday, I feel like Bridgeport Farms Quill’s Quinn needs her own little post-show post as well for day II of the open show.

In the Junior devision Em and Quinn got 3rd place out of a big class of 11 in ring 1. Right behind the champion and reserve for the division.

And in ring 2 she got 2nd out of 9!! The judge kept going back and forth between her and another for 1st and 2nd, Quinn did get second but it was very close.

We were beyond proud of Em for going into a open show being the smallest one there and holding her own. And Em was beyond proud of her little Quinn.

I’ll have to share the full story one day but this is Em’s very special doe who picked her. (We were going to pick up another doeling for Em but this one literally snuggeled up in her lap and did not leave her side the whole visit, so the rest is history). They snuggle almost everyday and are the best of friends!!

I can’t wait to see these two in the future!! Thank you Karen at Bridgeport Farms Nigerian Dwarf Goats for such a very special doeling for Em.

Bridgeport Farms Quill’s Quinn and Flower Lion Farms Lemon Sorbet are Em’s 2 foundation does for her show herd. They both had an amazing first show with Em with the two best and patient judges we could have asked for.

I guess we are officially into this now!!

(Picture of her with a BIG smile on her face after getting placed 2nd in the class).

I’m still trying to think of the words I would use to describe today and Em’s experience at her first ADGA show.

I am so thankful to all the new friends we met and our wonderful judge, Justin Bassett, and the Uintah County Dairy Goat Show.

Em not only got champion in the peewee showmanship. But Em showed Flower Lion Farm Lemon Sorbet (Lulu) and earned her first dry leg, and Em’s first Champion Ribbon. Then they went on to win Best of Show.

At both their first show!

I can’t wait to see how this pair works together next year as Lulu freshens and I’m so blessed to be able to see Em work so hard over the whole summer and see it all come together. I know she is beyond proud of herself as well.

Thank you Flower Lion Farm for allowing us to give Lulu a home and Em such a great little partner. And thank you Bridgeport Farms Nigerian Dwarf Goats for allowing Quinn (who she won showmanship with) to also join our little farm.

Em has the best two little show goats she could have asked for starting out! And she loves them both so much!
