Since the 1800s and continuing today, local farmers have brought watermelons and fresh produce into town to share with our Hill Country community.
Stop by the market on Saturday and pick up a locally grown watermelon--grown right here in Pontotoc!--from Double A Melons, continuing a long-standing tradition of great produce from local farmers.
Pictured are folks enjoying watermelon on the Court Square in the 1930's. We are told this is a Eudora Welty photograph.
