This is what it’s all about for us—tangible reminders for First Responders and their families that *someone* cares.

Knowing that someone is there alongside them on their journey, whatever that looks like.

This was a pleasant surprise! Love how unpredictably predictable our cow’s antics are. There isn’t much they won’t do for food😂

In all seriousness though, finding someone to milk Mazie will be our biggest challenge this year whenever we take our annual trip. It’s tough to find someone who already knows how, won’t let a cow boss them around, can strip her out completely, and clean her to my expectations to prevent things like mastitis.

We are NOT promising you an “easy fix”. Actually we’re not promising you ANYTHING, because any resource you can find out there is just a tool in a toolbox. If it doesn’t get taken out, properly cared for and applied, it’s useless.

The Balance Board is just something small we’ve put together based on our experiences, First Responder life, the snags we’ve run into, and the challenges we’ve faced in our relationship as we navigate PTSD, chronic injury and pain, and just everyday “normal” life challenges too!

When the door on communication has been shut, it’s important to prop something in it so it stays open a crack. And that’s sort of what we hope the Balance Board can be! Just a tool to keep communication happening. No matter how small.
