The St. Thomas Pumpkin Patch

The St. Thomas Pumpkin Patch Hello there! Our pumpkin patch operates from 1 - 31 October (sometimes earlier, sometimes later!)

This Sunday is Scout Sunday at Saint Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church!

Scouts and Scouters (leaders) will be present and in uniform, participating in the service. We look forward to recognizing them, as well as past Scouts and Scouters - please join us!

Thanks to our church, scout, and community volunteers, we were able to serve 467 persons from 112 families green beans, milk, lettuce, potatoes, spinach, apples, and pears in under two hours.

Special thanks to Running Alliance Sport (RAS) and Robby Sabban for supplementing our distribution with canned food for the holidays and St. Thomas members for collecting diapers - most were net with tears of joy!!

Huge addition of coffee, hot chocolate, and community time from our Brotherhood of St Andrew's this morning!

The Food Bank is closed for New Year's weekend, so next distribution is Feb 7.

Doing more together!!

To our dear customers,

We're still open through Friday night! And that cool weather we ordered a few weeks ago finally arrived. Better late than never, amirite

Anyway, feel free to come grab your gourds tomorrow and Friday (you do know that the world needs pumpkins in November too, right?)!

Beginning Saturday, everything must go. Literally. We move into our "take what you want, leave what you want" mode, where you can literally have as many of our pumpkins for free (but we'd love to have a little donation!).

If you do feel moved to leave us a little somethin-somethin, you can do so via the QR codes on the yard signs (Zelle preferred, but PayPal and Venmo are okay), or follow the directions on the signs for other methods.

From the bottom of our orange hearts (🧑), thank you for your support this year. We'll be back next year, with new additions, and better than ever!

BANANA FOR SCALE

Good morning, pumpkin lovers! Did y'all hear something about 4:00 this morning? We didn't either! 🀣

It's the last weekend in October and our pumpkins took a little shower this morning and are ready to go home with loving families. Our volunteers are here from 9:00 - 6:00 today and tomorrow and are happy to help you achieve your pumpkin dreams.

Can't make it during those hours? FUGGEDABOUTIT, because we're the most antisocial pumpkin patch in the area - come whenever you'd like. Our signs in the yard have QR codes so you can pay via Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal.
..and on that note, Steven Jones, we don't know what you were doing at 2:30am Wednesday morning in our patch (we're taking bets tho) and buying pumpkins, but you do you friend - thanks for the business!

We have plenty of those cute little pumpkins left - pic for attention - and lots of big carvers left.

And hey - protip from your pumpkin people here: October's not the only month for pumpkins! Anyone ever heard of November? Thanksgiving? Pumpkin pie? Roasted pumpkin (it's a gourd btw)? Pumpkin seeds? C'mon fam... don't disappoint us.

Come see us this weekend!

Pumpkin fans, it's the last weekend in October!

Have you pumpkin'd up yet? No? We heard something about some wet stuff coming through the area tonight and into tomorrow morning... but you know what? We ain't skeered.

It's been super dry and we're pretty confident (40% of the time we're right 100% of the time) the ground is so dry at our little patch it will sponge it all up in time for the Saturday morning fun! At least that's what we're telling ourselves.

Hey, if you didn't know, the wonderful dancers from Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre are going to be in our patch on SUNDAY, October 26th at 3:00pm in full Nutcracker costumes posing for pictures with our little dancers, our little dance appreciators (???), and any other fans of the performing arts! The event is called - wait for it - When Holidays Collide: A Nutcracker Patch! (Clever, no?)

Come see us this weekend and enjoy these pumpkins. They're still fresher than anything you'll find in those big box stores.

Since it's just us "geezers and boomers" (our kids' words, not ours...) using Facebook these days, we feel fairly confident no kids will see this.

Enjoy the adult-ish humor from across the pond and hey - at least it's not muddy at our patch! πŸŽƒ

My significant other told me not to do this, but I feel like a PSA is in order.

When you go to "those stores," and you buy those "cheap pumpkins," this is what you get: poor pumpkins thrown into a bin for Gourd-knows-how-long... crushing - nay - suffocating one another.

Our pumpkins are happy pumpkins. 100% organic, food-grade, and grown by farmers of the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. A portion of our sales go back to these amazing, hard-working farmers who provide us with these happy pumpkins.

Listen to your heart. Do what's right. Our pumpkins need homes... they're used to breathing the free air, my friends.

Friends, our resident Karen has complained repeatedly to the manager about the [lack of] Fall weather, but hey - it's felt pretty nice this week, hasn't it?

We've been working hard this week to beautify our little patch, consolidating pallets and stacking them so your pictures come out πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³πŸ’‹. (The kids told me that was a clever way of emoji-ing chef's kiss, but I think they're secretly trolling me and laughing behind my back.)

Come this weekend and chill with our gourds, our cute Cub Scout volunteers, and yes, you can bring your doggos... just clean up after them when they do doggo things, please.
