196 miles. Mount Hood to the Pacific. 36 legs, one van, and almost no sleep.
On August 28 and 29, our Centric team runs Hood To Coast, the largest running and walking relay in the world. We are not doing it for the medal. We run it with Team World Vision to fund clean water in South Sudan, and here is the number that stays with me: $50 provides one person with clean water for life.
We are at $58,750 of our $125,000 goal. 47 percent of the way there.
Here is why this week matters. Every dollar donated before Thursday at 8:00 AM Central is matched 100 percent. So $50 covers two people. $250 covers ten. $500 covers twenty. Same money, double the water.
If you have ever wanted to give to something with a clean, measurable outcome, this is it. A well goes in the ground, it stays in the ground, and a whole community stops spending hours a day walking for water.
Donate here, and thank you: https://www.teamworldvision.org/teams/40026/donate
The match closes Thursday at 8:00 AM Central.
