196 miles. Mount Hood to the Pacific. 36 legs, one van, and almost no sleep.

On August 28 and 29, our Centric team runs Hood To Coast, the largest running and walking relay in the world. We are not doing it for the medal. We run it with Team World Vision to fund clean water in South Sudan, and here is the number that stays with me: $50 provides one person with clean water for life.

We are at $58,750 of our $125,000 goal. 47 percent of the way there.

Here is why this week matters. Every dollar donated before Thursday at 8:00 AM Central is matched 100 percent. So $50 covers two people. $250 covers ten. $500 covers twenty. Same money, double the water.

If you have ever wanted to give to something with a clean, measurable outcome, this is it. A well goes in the ground, it stays in the ground, and a whole community stops spending hours a day walking for water.

Donate here, and thank you: https://www.teamworldvision.org/teams/40026/donate

The match closes Thursday at 8:00 AM Central.

Pastrami and Swiss grilled on rye, with a pile of house battered onion rings on the side. Victor's Deli & Restaurant🍽 is doing classic NY deli right, no shortcuts. The rye is toasted, the pastrami is stacked, and that cheese pull is exactly where it should be.

Save this for your next deli run.

Onion rings or a pickle spear on the side, what’s your move? Drop it below.

Chicken and shrimp satay bowl at Local Public Eatery, and yes, the patio at Market Street earns it.

Grilled shrimp and chicken swimming in a coconut peanut curry, then a bright slaw with radish, carrot, and cilantro piled on top for the crunch. Rich meets fresh in one bowl. This is the kind of plate that makes a slow afternoon on the patio feel like the whole point.

Ribeye in a street taco is a flex, and just made it the move of the week.

Tender ribeye, fresh cilantro and onion, charred corn tortillas, with rice and beans that actually hold their own. This is the weekly special, so it is here now and gone soon.

Save this so you do not miss it before the menu rotates.

Which taco order are you running, three ribeye or load up on the beans and chips too? Drop it below, I reply to every one.

🍽️Three plates at The Audrey that make the case for refined dining in The Woodlands without driving into the city.

🥚Caviar deviled eggs with dill and cucumber, pillowy gnocchi with lump crab and brown butter crumb, and a short rib that surrenders to the fork over mash.

👍🏼 Save this one for your next anniversary, birthday, or “I owe you dinner” moment.

❓Caviar deviled eggs or the short rib, which one are you ordering first?

Burrata done right doesn’t need much. lets the ingredients do the talking.

Fresh burrata, heirloom tomatoes, pickled red onion, arugula, grilled bread, and a drizzle that ties it all together. Simple on paper, exceptional on the plate. This is the kind of dish that makes you slow down.

Save this if you’re planning a date night or a long lunch worth lingering over.

What’s your go-to order at North Italia? Drop it below, I’ll reply to every one.

Call them kolaches or call them klobansek but either way has got them done right. Super fluffy dough with sorts of unique fillings. Go savory or go sweet. Plus supporting family and locally owned is always the right choice.
