How exciting that six Houston restaurants received Michelin one stars! Very excited about Guide and Bib Gourmand recipients as well!
Some of our favorites, Basso (Guide) and Ema (Bib Gourmand) are on their lists!

We are excited that in some small way we have been part of their chef’s journeys!

During the pandemic, Central City Co-Op was an outlet for Nicolas and Stphanie to sell their salsas, tortillas, and her delicious Berlinesas. Just before Ema opened, we were excited to have carried Amanecer’s bottled coffee drinks. We are so happy to have Ema in our neighborhood and enjoy eating there.

Over the last year, We have worked with Baso to help facilitate some of their bread pick ups and developed a wonderful supportive relationship with chef Max Lappe. The creations that he and his team come up with are incredible. We have often said that their work is worthy of Michelin recognition. We are excited to see it on its way!

These collaborations are what community is built on. We are proud to be part of this community.

15 Texas restaurants were awarded one Michelin star on Monday. Two Texas restaurants in Austin were awarded new green stars. 24 other Houston restaurants were recognized by the prestigious guide during the award ceremony.

TURKEY Pre- orders!
ATTENTION: We only have 20 available!
This year our hyper local suppliers did not raise turkeys. We have reached out to a supplier and we have found some that are organically raised, certified humane, pastured, supplemented with a vegetarian diet.
If you want one, they will be 12-16 lbs and 7.50 a pound. We are taking orders with a $90 deposit until Sunday at 6 pm. They will be delivered and ready to pick up starting Tuesday, November 19th.

PUMPKIN RECYCLING 🎃 is here at Central City Co-Op at 2515 Harvard St. with

Let’s make sure your post Halloween / holiday pumpkins don’t end up in the landfill!

Bring your pumpkins to Central City and place them in the dumpster that is labeled Pumpkin recycling and Zero Waste Houston. We will have the dumpster onsite from November 9th - December 6th.

Pumpkins should be free of synthetic decoration. Please make sure that you have taken off all stickers and washed off all paint.

Hello neighbors! We are trying something new this holiday season: a friendsgiving potluck! This will be the first of many as we are going to hold a potluck once every other month.

Now more than ever we need to rely on our neighbors and community, and we strive to be a platform where people can come together to celebrate one another.

This first potluck we encourage everyone to bring a dish! We will handle tables, tents, and music! Join us for a night of food, fun, and games!
