We will open this year the weekend of October 17th and 18th at 9:00 AM! we will be open the next few weekends after that or until we run out of persimmons.
SOME BAD NEWS: The deer have found our orchard this year and did significant damage to our trees. A lot of fruit and limbs were destroyed. It also seems the trees did not produce as much as last year. Due to this and the higher cost of fuel and well just about everything else, we must increase our prices slightly also. Instead of $2 per pound it will now be $2.50 per pound. We apologize for this but hope you understand that is today's economy we had too.
The apple trees have stopped producing and we have plans to cut all of them down and plant more persimmon trees this Spring for future expansion.
SOME GOOD NEWS: With the planned expansion of around 60 more persimmon trees this spring, in a few years we should have an abundance of fruit.
Also Jennifer and I have plans to retire from our 9 to 5 jobs next year so we can stay open some during the week days.
We really appreciate all of our retuning Customers as well as out new ones. Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Thanks,
Bill Fulmer
