The summer snack I cannot be left alone with and I mean that sincerely. 🥨 A can of Pillsbury Grands biscuits gets rolled into ropes, twisted into pretzel shapes, frozen for an hour, dipped in a baking soda bath, brushed with melted butter, hit with coarse salt, and baked at 450 until golden. The homemade sharp cheddar cheese sauce takes about five minutes on the stove and the only ingredient that matters is shredding your own cheese from a block. Twenty minutes and you have something that beats anything from a pretzel shop.

The 4th of July mac and cheese that the kids inhale without knowing there are vegetables in it. 🧀 Carrots and butternut squash get boiled until soft, blended with milk and butter into a smooth creamy sauce, then folded into a roux-based cheddar and mozzarella cheese sauce that coats every noodle. The color looks like classic mac, the taste is all cheese, and nobody suspects a thing. Ready in 35 minutes and the whole pan disappears fast.

Father's Day is coming up and these Cheeseburger Sliders need to be on the menu.Father's Day is coming up and these Cheeseburger Sliders need to be on the menu. 🍔 80/20 ground beef gets seasoned and browned, piled onto Hawaiian rolls with American cheese and dill pickles, brushed with melted butter and sesame seeds on top, then baked until the cheese is melted and the tops go golden. One pan, 12 sliders, and they disappear before you can even set the tray down.

Cornmeal crust, squeeze of lemon, and a side of coleslaw or hush puppies if you’re doing it right. This Father’s Day, fire up the skillet and make it the way it’s always been made. This Peaches and Cream Pie is my favorite summer dessert to make when fresh peaches are looking good at the store. 🍑 Fresh peach slices go straight into an unbaked pie shell, then a cream cheese filling made with lemon juice, cinnamon, and almond extract gets spread right over the top and bakes for an hour until it sets into something creamy and custardy underneath all that fruit. Pile on the whipped cream once it cools and serve it cold. Canned or frozen peaches work too if you can't find good fresh ones.

🫘 The 4th of July side dish table needs this creamed beans and taters on it, honey. Fresh green beans sautéed in butter until lightly browned, new potatoes boiled until fork tender, then everything coated in a velvety cream cheese sauce. One reviewer's husband said he didn't even need the meat she made alongside it. Easiest thing you'll bring to the cookout all summer.

Father's Day cookout needs hot dogs, but not your average hot dogs. 🌭 J Dawgs started as a tiny red shack in Utah and built a cult following over one thing: their secret sauce. All-beef links get scored diagonally all the way down so the cuts fan open on the grill and catch every bit of a honey, brown sugar, ketchup, and apple cider vinegar glaze that caramelizes right into the meat. Fifteen minutes and Dad's grill just got a whole lot more interesting.
