Where is your green?!?!?!!? Today is St. Patrick's day, today we celebrate the story of St. Patrick returning to Ireland and bringing Christianity with him. Once returning he started to convert the Celts and Pagans to his findings of Christianity. What started as a religious celebration has now adapted to a holiday of Irish Pride, we use the 17th of March because that's the day he died. Black History Month

It is on the last day of Black History Month 2022 that we would like to take a minute to discuss the origin of this Annual Celebration. Being linked to roots in the early 1920's, it all started with the 2nd week of February being used to celebrate African American Culture. This week was chosen due to the fact that is coincided with the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Fredrick E. Douglas. This week long celebration would be adopted by schools and Govt Municipalities alike. This would eventually evolve into the entirety of the month being used to teach, remember, and learn from the vibrant and deep history the black community has in this country.
