In a dinner rut? Try this meal plan friendly chicken korma!
Ingredients:
*Chicken breast
*Red bell pepper
*Onion
*Zucchini
*Cauliflower rice of your choosing ( you can use rice for kiddos or if your meal plan allows)
*Pataks korma sauce
Steps:
1. Cube and season chicken
2. Brown chicken, add onion and bell pepper + korma sauce, then let simmer for 15 min
3. Sauté cauliflower rice with veggies of your sauce
4. Weigh allotted amount of chicken + 2oz for sauce
5. Serve with cauliflower rice
6. Enjoy!

Kick off the New Year in a healthy way! Join MFLN for a 4-week nutrition challenge starting on January 6th. To participate, schedule an appointment to have your body fat percentage measured during the first two weeks of January, and then get a recheck four weeks later. The entry fee for the challenge is $20, and the top three participants who lose the highest percentage of body fat will split the total entry fees. We’re excited to promote health as we welcome 2025!

Two weeks ago we celebrated Nicole’s ten years at MFLN! 10 years ago I took on a young 23 year old intern from Texas Woman’s University, pursuing her Masters Degree in Nutrition. I’ve watched her continually pursue excellence in her knowledge of nutrition and exercise. Everything Nicole preaches she practices in her life. I watched her grow into a great wife, loving mother, and into one of the most sought after nutritionist in all of Houston. Thank you for everything you do for so many, we are lucky to have you!

We have exciting news! After 12 years at our Galleria location, we are moving offices to be closer to our homes. Starting June 3rd 2024, MFLN will be located at the Bunker Hill Building. Our new address will be: 9525 Katy Freeway Suite 250, Houston Texas 77024. All May appointments will still be located at our St. James address. Let’s talk steady state cardio!
Low intensity steady state(LISS) cardio is aerobic based training maintaining a heart rate in zone 3 or below. This means our body uses oxygen and allows the main fuel source to come from fat as opposed to glucose. LISS helps reduce inflammation in the body by hyperoxygenating the tissue, build foundational endurance, promote fat burning, and engage your parasympathetic nervous system (PNS). When doing LISS, the goal is to keep your heart rate from exceeding zone 3, as it can quickly transition our bodies away from using fat as fuel, and directs its focus towards glucose to drive energy production. A balance of HIIT and LISS is important for every athlete, and some of our favorite LISS workouts include incline walking, rucking, biking, or rowing!
