I just watched Umami with Gérard Depardieu and really enjoyed it. A warm, thoughtful film about food, family, friendship, and finding meaning in life. The scenery in Japan is beautiful, and the story stays with you after the credits. Highly recommended.

We had Thai food for dinner today. As Thai food is spicy, I wanted something sweet to ease my tongue, so we crossed the parking lot to a bakery. Here is what we got: a pain aux raisins, a tiny tiramisu, and a so-called chocolate ganache cake. By tasting them, I want to go back to the baking business so badly.
They are not bad, otherwise the brand wouldn't last. However, those are not to my standards.
