What a day!! Some days take a village, and our village showed up today! 🌻🥰

Freezer is stocked with fresh chicken & quail, and this time we have the skin on - thanks Krabbe Farmhaus for the plucker rental! 🐓🍗

Maybe not full bulk scale but I am proud of us for getting 17 roosters and 26 quail done. Good practice for turkeys in the fall 😳🦃

✨️SPOTLIGHT POST✨️

This is Butter 💛 she is a mix from our silkie rooster, Salt, and our red star hen, Mary.

Butter was not doing well last week, so I took her to work with me to help as much as possible. 🤞🏼
Fortunately, she perked up the next day, has been living in my home office, and just wants constant snuggles! 🥰

We'll incorporate her back to the flock but did just have a single chick hatch todau that we may keep with her until they're both ready.... maybe because we want more snuggles too 😏😚

Newest Roo's Realm hatch - Button Quail 😍

These are guys are itty bitty! Every time our Coturnix quail hatch, we are awed by how small they are, so we decided to stun ourselves with the size of Button Quail 🤣 🥹

Comparison photo of Coturnix vs. Button eggs & fresh chick sizes. They are tiny and freaking fast 😅 I squeal every time I look at them 🤩

The cute keeps expanding, which means the chaos does too. 🌪🐣🤭
