We are a lovely little farm located an hour South West of the Twin Cities. Over the past few years we have raised cows, pigs and over 4,000 organic free range meet chickens. This is our first year doing a CSA and we are so very excited! Why A CSA-
There are many benefits to participating in a CSA. As a member you will not only enjoy all of the food but you will
also know exactly where your food is grown and who grows it. All of our produce is organically grown, which means no pesticides and no herbicides. In a time of increasingly industrialized food production and the environmental problems that accompany it, won’t it be good to know where your food is coming from? All of the organic produce that goes into your box is grown right here on our farm in Howard Lake, MN
During the course of a season we raise over 50 varieties of vegetables that will go into our CSA box. Each box will have varieties of farm fresh, “picked at peak of harvest” vegetables. Our season will start out with kales, collards, broccoli, cabbage, onions, lettuces and other cool season greens. Summer brings us into the tomatoes, peppers, corn, watermelon, potatoes, squashes, cucumbers, beans and eggplants. Fall will wrap up the season with perineal favorites like butternut and acorn squash, pumpkins, arugula, kales, and other greens. How It Works
The CSA will run for 18 weeks, starting late May and running through September (weather permitting). We will deliver every Friday from 2:30 to 4:30, our location is still to be determined. It costs $450 per family, with a $100 down payment to secure your place in the CSA. We do not have any deadlines (good news, right??) however we only have a limited amount of space so hurry and secure your spot to insure you receive delicious veggies this summer!!
