We are located in Howard, Kansas. Many years of studying the Driftwood and Hancock Pedigrees and riding horses bred this way is what sparked my husbands,Wayne, intrest in breeding and raising the Driftwood and Hancock horses. His belief stands behind our breeding program, that to make a good minded c**t you must start with a good minded stud and mare. As a vital part of any breeding program we expect the same of our studs. They must have manners not only around the mares but where ever and whenever and gentle in nature is a must. Wayne says quite often, " If my stud horses don't have a brain then they aren't stud horse material". That is why our stud horses are pastured with geldings and when tacked they are tied in the tack barn right along side the mares and hauled just the same with not so much as a grunt. We use and treat our studs as geldings from roping, to doctoring, to moving stock, to checking stock or just plain ole down the road going for a ride.We have 2 Driftwood breeding age studs and 1 Hancock breeding age stud. We also have 2 younger Hancock bred studs and 1 younger Driftwood/Hancock bred stud that we will be breeding in the future. We do ride our mares however you simply can not ride them all. We currently have 20 mares in our program that are Driftwood, Hancock and Driftwood/Hancock bred. As with any breeding program you have the privilege of carefully selecting replacement fillies and we have been fortunate enough to raise some really nice quality fillies and we will be adding them in the future to the breeding program. Wayne has found that not only does the Driftwood and Hancock horses posses brain but they also posses muscle, heavy bone structure and have the ability and stamina to go all day. Therefor becoming our ideal ranch horse bloodline to breed and raise. Wayne wanted to raise horses he believes in and could stand behind no matter the situation, thus starting our breeding program.
