"Electrolytes" certainly is a buzzword all over social media right now. But they aren't just beneficial for humans. Our entire calf barn has been receiving them this week.
When temperatures soar, calves lose more than just water—they lose vital minerals through sweating and panting. Leaving them to rely on milk or water alone during a heatwave can quickly lead to dehydration and heat stress.
​Here is why supportive electrolytes are important:
• ​They replenish essential sodium and potassium faster than plain water.

Being a farm dad is a big job. It's teaching life’s biggest lessons before the sun even comes up. It’s showing the next generation what true dedication looks like, whether it's fixing a broken tractor in a downpour, tending to a cow at 2am, or managing a million moving parts to keep the farm going and the milk flowing.
