We asked you to come out and help empty our freezers and you showed up!

Boalsburg Farmers Market was a whirlwind. Thanks for being patient while we navigated the day.

We asked you to buy chicken and we sold more chicken than we ever had in a day! Greg had to leave to get more out of storage!

You are the best!! This life isn't always easy and this disaster has been so challenging. All of the support you have shown us lets us know that we are doing the right things and that you appreciate what we do.

Thanks to Leslie K Zuck For the freezer loaners. This will get us some ability to restock for markets this week. Another friend donated one to the cause.

Another friend brought a loaf of homemade bread and took some chicken!

If you ordered online, we should be able to get those orders pulled for market. The support is just amazing!

We have been asked by a lot of people how to help.

Chickens take up a lot of freezer space. Buying chickens would definitely help. We will have extras at market.

We will be at Boalsburg Farmers Market and Pine Grove Mills Friday Funday this week. Any product you buy helps us with freezer space. We can't guarantee that we have everything in the market freezers, so we won't be taking orders for anything but chicken. If you do order other products, we may change the fulfillment date to when we can get product back onsite.

If you want to help financially, we will apply any money that you send to future orders. Make sure that you have an account on our website and I will apply credit. This helps with working capital now. You can send checks to

Learn about regenerative practices. Our erosion is bad, but we can't even guess what it would have been like if the back hill was in the same condition as when we moved in. Regenerative farms sequester more carbon, hold more water in the soil, and contribute to a more stable environment.

Weather events like this are becoming more frequent. As a consumer, you can make food choices that help our environment.

Post flood update. Things are going to look a little different this week at market.

We lost nine freezers, but not the contents. We moved our product from the impacted freezers off-site quickly. Greg restocked the market freezers based on what he could quickly pull, but we probably won't have a full selection with us. Orders will not be available.

Our well is still pretty turbulent and we have a lot of silt. Until it settles down, we will not be washing eggs. Fingers crossed for Tuesday.

Bellefonte Bread Baker orders will be delivered this Saturday. If you have an open order for somewhere else that was placed before the flooding, we will contact you when we can schedule the pickup.

Lots of people have asked how they can help. Right now, the most helpful thing is to empty some freezer space. Chickens take up a lot of room and we still have a good amount onsite. Please consider purchasing chicken at Boalsburg Farmers Market or email us for a good time to meet.

The storms were terrible last night. As we were watching the rain come down and the creek come up, we saw that it was considered a one-in-193 year event.

Our community is wonderful!

Even with freezers floating, we didn't lose any product. A couple of messages and phone calls later and we had found some frozen storage. Thanks to Fasta & Ravioli Co and Kinfork for literally saving our bacon and Pasta Bob even fed our Farmer and farm kid some amazing pasta.

Our neighbors showed up to help move freezers and boxes. After we were finished with our skid steer for today, one of the neighbors took it to help dig other people out. Our kid ran recon on the four wheeler to find out if roads were passable when neighbors called looking for a way to get to a gas station.

It actually takes a village to manage a farm like this and our village showed up today.

All of us are safe. The basement and the garage had water, but nothing irreplaceable was damaged. Our bridges are gone, but all of our animals survived the rain. The fences have some snapped poles. The pool is full of mud and rocks. The tiles sunroom is the only place on the first floor where water came in.

Today was about survival. Check animals, move product, drain basement. Tomorrow we will plan and clean and sort.

It's fresh chicken week! Pick up chicken at the Boalsburg Farmers Market on Tuesday, Lock Haven Drop point on Thursday, Altoona Drop Point on Friday, and Bellefonte Bread Baker on Saturday. Lots of great stuff available for pickup on Wednesday, but only frozen foods.

So many activities! So much downtown! Join us for the Farm to City Fest themed Final Friday on August 28th 3-9 pm East Main Street. We're here to help you, your families, children and neighbors make memories. The attached flyer may assist you in planning your afternoon and evening. For parents, teachers, child care workers and children you won't want to miss Steven Courtney in concert inside the Susquehanna Event Center from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Highly recommended for children include Allie Moo 🐮, Simplicity the Clown, Boston Bachert the Juggler, Whisker Pop Face Painting by BadMynx Design, petting zoo, exhibitors like 4-H, free popcorn 🍿 and the bounce house. Crafters and the curious will enjoy the craft/vendor fair. All animal lovers can't miss the petting zoo. Music lovers 🎶 will relax with The Twisted Racquet-Tears, Bobby 5's Live Music Show and Flashback. Like laughing? Look for our costumed chicken 🐔 character! Want to learn about agriculture, farming, etc. Stop by the displays from the Clinton County Conservation District (including trivia game), Farm Bureau, Cooperative Extension, 4-H and DCNR. Need fresh from the farm meats? Pole Cat Hollow Farm 🚜 will have their refrigerated trailer on East Main Street. Look for Farm to Table food options from some businesses, too, like Two Maidens Ramen Cafe & Tea Room 🍵. Shopping promotions at places like Addie's Inc., The Apothecary and Caramia’s ReLoved Fashion. It's a giant WOW!
