Ramen the Blind Pony Wonder Horse strikes again! 🦄✨

Every morning, I grain the barn and wait for everyone to eat their breakfast. Then I prep their hay bags and toss them just outside their stalls. Ramen is absolutely perfect and never does anything naughty, so I often leave his stall unlocked without a second thought.

Well, this morning, while I was busy cleaning stalls, Ramen used his magical hay sonar to sniff out his bag and glide right out—like he had been waiting for exactly this moment! He’s always amazing me with his determination and enhanced senses!💛

Remembering Jupiter

The barn is quieter now. Last week, we said goodbye to Jupiter. For quite some time, she had been bravely coping with stifle arthritis and frequent falls. There were many days when we weren’t sure we could help her back up, but she always found the strength to try again.

Ultimately, we had to make the decision for her—one we know was best for her comfort and dignity. Jupiter no longer needs to fight through pain or endure another cold, icy Michigan winter. She found her rest on a warm and beautiful day, surrounded by love, and no trauma.

Jupiter’s spirit and resilience will always be remembered and deeply missed. Thank you to everyone who cared for her and shared in her journey.

Rest easy, sweet Jupiter.

Nuggets training and exposure to new situations has begun. Today was her first time in the cross ties. She rocked it of course. Not much phases this girl, but she knows and trusts us. We take everything slow, quick spurts, and lots of phrase. Getting her ready to head to training in the Spring, where she can focus on what’s really important. Not the small stuff.
