The grazing season is winding down and I finally had to start feeding hay this week. Not my preferred way to feed but the cold weather and shorter days have stopped the grass from growing until spring arrives. The cows prefer the green grass over the stored feed hands down.

I’m installing some Light Hoof footing mesh over fabric and backfilled with Item 4 in an effort to get the horses out of the fall and spring mud season in their loafing paddocks. Had to also put in a drain. Hopefully it works. 5 panels completed, 3 to go. May have to top dress with stone dust in the spring.
