A family owned business going on our 45th year, we specialize in more than 45 varieties of apples. We're also wildly known for our signature apple pie in The Pine Hill Crunch and our wonderful caramel apples. Our apple cider is very popular along with other things we stock like our raw local honey, Wisconsin maple syrup, local popcorn and locally sourced jams & butters. Our season typically goes from the end of July through Thanksgiving.

We waited until Friday to pick the apples that we're bringing to both the Oconomowoc Farmers' Markets and the Port Washington Farmers Market tomorrow, as well as supplying our stand near Holy Hill. Apples are still sizing up well and boy have the sugars started to form in both the delicious Zestars and EarliGolds, the Paula Reds are the featured apple (along with a few others) in our Pine Hill Crunch apple pies that will be making their debut tomorrow.

Zestars are finally starting to size and color up, come get them this weekend at the Oconomowoc Farmers' Markets and at our retail stand near Holy Hill. We will also have Early Golds, Jersey Macs and Paula Reds available this weekend as well as our famous cider and other goodies like Wisconsin maple syrup, raw local honey and jams & jellies.

With persistent rain staying over the area for quite some time, we are not going to be attending the Oconomowoc Farmers' Markets today. We will however be opening up the apple stand near Holy Hill for the 48th year. We will have limited product as the apples will be sizing up perfectly with all this much needed rain.

The 2026 Apple season kicks off this Saturday August 1st!!! We are still waiting for the Early Golds, Paula Reds and Zestars to size up and will make the decision that morning if they are ready to sell. We will have our famous apple cider, raw honey, and 100% Wisconsin maple syrup.

Pray for more rain, the apples will thank you!

We will also kick off the 2026 farmers market season by attending the Oconomowoc Farmers' Markets with cider and maple syrup.

Akin to finding a 4-leaf clover, this Jonagold bud contained 10 blossoms. Hopefully we'll receive some good luck later this week when temperatures are forecasted to plunge into the low 30's; 10% of crop loss occurs when it hits 28° and 90% loss occurs at 26°. 🤞 🤞 🤞

The second picture is of a normal bud that contains one king blossom in the middle, while being surrounded by 5 other blooms.

New apple variety!!!! 🎉

Some 12-15 years ago, this little apple tree sprouted from seed; amazing right!?!?! Before we had the building, we used to sell near the road and discard some of the bad apples near this culvert, and lo and behold one of them took hold. 🎵 We didn't realize there was an apple tree amongst the buckthorn until a few years ago, and today we decided to welcome it home at the orchard.

Because of the high heterozygosity of this process, the new apple variety has a 1 in 250,000 or four ten-thousandths percent (0.0004%) of being a desirable apple. Sooooooo you're saying there's a chance!!! 😂

With that said, we're still looking at the end of July and early August as our 2026 season opening.
